North Carolina is once again proving to be a battleground state this election. The U. S. Senate race between Democrat Roy Cooper and Republican Michael Whatley is a must win for Democrats if they want to take control of the Senate. And there are numerous U. S. House races in the state that could help decide control of power in Congress.
In September, Spectrum News Washington Reporter Reuben Jones, who covers the North Carolina congressional delegation in D. C., spent a week on the road in the state. Jones has covered the state for more than nine years.

Group assisting long-planned review of firearms — including SKS — has yet to meet
An advisory group that’s supporting a federal review of firearms classification — including a look at the SKS rifle — is expected to hold its first meeting this fall, almost a year after Ottawa announced the review. Public Safety Canada says members of the Firearms Classification Technical Advisory Group, appointed to provide expert advice to the department and the RCMP, “will be meeting later this fall.”The Liberal government has faced fresh questions about the SKS after a document filed in a U.
