'Not that big of deal' or 'deeply unhealthy'? Barbara Palvin and Elsa Hosk's postpartum Victoria's Secret appearance is reigniting a debate about 'bounce back' culture - Yahoo Lifestyle Canada

The 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show has reignited a long-standing cultural conversation about women's bodies after childbirth. On Sunday, some of the biggest names in fashion and Hollywood, lncluding Nicole Kidman, gathered at the Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, Calif for the live-streaming of the infamous fashion show. The event, which included appearances by Kylie Jenner and Tate McRae, featured models Elsa Hosk, who gave birth to her second child in July, and Barbara Palvin, who welcomed her first child just six weeks ago. Victoria's Secret models Elsa Hosk and Barbara Palvin both walked the runway after recently giving birth. (Getty Images)After images of Hosk and Palvin were shared online, many were quick to condemn Victoria's Secret for positioning their appearance empowering example to women. "Wow, I hate this," one woman wrote on an Elite Daily Instagram post. "No woman who gives birth so recently should be expected to be back at work, or covered for how their bodies 'bounce back.' I find this deeply unhealthy and unrealistic. ""As someone who is currently postpartum, I can tell you that this post ruined my night," another added.
