The Moon is only a few nights away from reaching its full phase. If you're planning to take a look tonight, here's what to know about its current appearance and what you might spot on its surface. What is today's Moon phase? As of Saturday, Oct. 24, NASA's Daily Moon Guide tracker tells us the Moon is in the Waxing Gibbous phase, with 95% of its surface visible. Tonight, without the use of visual aids you should be able to spot the Mares Imbrium, Serenitatis, Fecunditatis. If you have binoculars you'll also see the Endymion Crater, the Alphonsus Crater, and the Mare Nectaris. Finally, if you have a telescope, you'll also see the Apollo 16 and 17 landing spots, and the Schiller Crater.

When is the next Full Moon? The next Full Moon will take place on October 25 or 26, depending on your timezone. What are Moon phases? The Moon takes around 29.5 days to travel around Earth, and its appearance changes throughout the month. As it moves around our planet, we see different amounts of its sunlit side, from a slim crescent to the quarter phases and eventually a Full Moon. It then begins the cycle again.

CROWN: ctDNA Analyses Help Predict Early Progression With First-Line Lorlatinib in ALK+ NSCLC - OncLive

News|Articles|October 24, 2026 Baseline and on-treatment circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) features, including TP53 mutations and methylation-based tumor fraction, were associated with early progression or prolonged progression-free survival (PFS) with first-line lorlatinib (Lorbrena) in patients with ALK-positive advanced non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), in exploratory analyses of the phase 3 CROWN trial (NCT03052608) presented at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress.1Compared with long-term responders, who were progression free at 84 months (n = 30), early progressors, who had a PFS event within 12 months (n = 22), had a higher median number of altered genes at baseline (10 vs 6), a higher median blood-based tumor mutation burden (7.7 vs 5.1), and more frequent TP53 mutations (50% vs 17%). In the lorlatinib arm, the 7-year PFS rate was 65.0% (95% CI, 54.5%-77.4%) in patients with TP53 wild-type disease (n = 73) vs 40.8% (95% CI, 27.3%-61.1%) in those with TP53-mutated disease (n = 43; HR, 0.48; 95% CI, 0.268-0.857); median PFS was not reached (NR) vs 51.6 months (95% CI, 16.4-NR), respectively.

What to expect from Apple’s ‘Pro and tell’ event - The Verge

It feels like Apple’s Welcome Home event just happened. And the iPhone Duo announcement isn’t all that far in our rearview mirror, either. Yet, the company is back with another launch, focused on the MacBook Pro, it looks like. Its “Pro and tell” event is scheduled for October 28th at 1PM ET in Los Angeles. While obviously nothing is confirmed yet, it sure seems like we’re finally going to get that long-rumored touchscreen MacBook Pro. Beyond that? There could be an OLED update for the iPad Mini, plus M6 updates across other devices, following the M6 debut with the Mac Mini in August. A touchscreen MacBook ProA MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen has been a fixture of the rumor mill since at least early 2023. But now, in late 2026, it may finally come to fruition. The name MacBook Ultra has been floating around, but Apple is unlikely to rebrand its flagship laptop line. This will be the first touchscreen laptop and the first OLED laptop from Apple. It will supposedly feature an iPhone-esque Dynamic Island, but don’t expect a dramatic revamp of the macOS interface — The touchscreen MacBook isn’t going to be some sort of iPad hybrid.

The Boox Palma 2 Pro finally got me to stop reading on my phone - TechCrunch

The $400 Boox Palma 2 Pro is a smartphone-sized e-reader designed for people who want to read books, articles, and documents on a small E Ink display. However, it offers more than just a dedicated reading experience because it runs Android and supports Google Play, giving you access to third-party apps. Think of it as a cross between a Kindle and a compact Android tablet. What drew me to reviewing the Palma 2 Pro was its size. When I’m not reading a physical book, I like to lie on my side and read at night before bed. Most e-readers are squarish and hard to hold without something like a PopSocket, and they can feel too big for reading while lying down. So even though I own a Kindle, I often ended up reading on my iPhone simply because it was more comfortable in my hand. But, reading on your phone for too long can of course cause eye strain. The Palma 2 Pro ultimately solved this problem for me during the two months I spent testing it.
