Infinity Ward has long been the Call of Duty studio to rely on for single-player campaigns. The original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 are still the best in the whole series, and the reboot got off to a strong start with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019. Despite a slightly underwhelming runtime, Modern Warfare 4, the latest, is up there with the very best of them. There are two stories happening simultaneously in Modern Warfare 4. One follows the trials and tribulations endured by Sierra-1, a unit made up of both South Korean and United States soldiers, as they fight back against an invasion by the North Korean military. Over the course of several missions, you'll battle through the streets of the fictional Hajin City, explore a snow-covered wasteland in North Korea, and fight through trenches to prevent a nuclear reactor from exploding.

Then there's the more traditional Modern Warfare storyline, which puts you in the shoes of the legendary Captain John Price, who is on the run after assassinating the traitorous General Shepherd at the end of Modern Warfare 3.

8 Classic PlayStation Adventure Games that are Barely Playable Today

If you’ve ever watched someone play an old PlayStation game and wondered why their character keeps spinning around in circles, congratulations, you’ve already met tank controls. If you’re unfamiliar, here’s your quick introduction: With tank controls, pressing up moves your character forward in whatever direction they’re facing, and pressing left or right only rotates them, so with the stick alone, you can’t sidestep or turn on a dime. That’s manageable in a hallway. It’s much less so when you’re sneaking past a guard, lining up a shot, or timing a leap across a pit, which is why the same scheme caused trouble in just about every genre during the PS1 era. These eight classic games are the hardest to go back to, whether the culprit is tank controls or something else entirely. The dealbreaker: Lining up one jump means turning in place, backing up, taking a run-up, and holding a grab button in midair. Every single time Reminder: Tomb Raider is a platformer. You’re jumping roughly every 15 seconds, and most of those jumps demand precision measured in single pixels.

A Star Wars Battlefront 3 Made By Bungie Would Probably Be Great But Also A Waste

It’s been almost a decade since Star Wars Battlefront 2 and fans have been eager for a follow-up. According to Giant Bomb cohost Jeff Grubb, Lucasfilm is indeed shopping around a Star Wars Battlefront 3, but it remains to be seen who might actually make it. According to the rumor, Bungie is one of the studios in the running. The origins of this rumor are gnarly, so buckle up. Electronic Gaming Monthly recently released a compendium retrospective, and one of the bonuses as part of the Kickstarter was a new digital issue. That new issue reportedly featured the return of the Quartermann gossip column. That column contained a rumor that Lucasfilm wants to do a new Battlefront game. Grubb featured the column on his Game Mess Morning podcast for October 19: The suits at Lucasfilm have been aggressively deploying probe droids for a development partner to take on the task of creating a follow-up. So far, no one has fully stepped up, but yours truly is hearing two major game studios are circling the project like a couple of snowspeeders led by the completely unsurprising EA DICE who we can hope learned from their loot box lesson.

Card Collector Who Spent Over Two Years Building $100,000 Collection Gets Terrible News From PSA

The explosion in card collecting, from Pokémon to basketball cards, has led people to pay a premium to get their collections graded by official third parties like PSA. Usually, the worst thing a customer can hear from a grading agency is that their prized card isn’t the mint condition they thought it was. But for Sky-B, a recent email from PSA had news that was way worse. PSA reportedly messaged him recently (via IGN) to inform him that a FedEX truck leaving its facility in Southern California was burglarized and his order was one of the ones impacted by the theft. “We understand how upsetting this news must be,” the email read. “While your items were not in our possession at the time of the burglary, we take our role in helping secure your items seriously and will work with you to resolve this situation as best we can.” "We will compensate you for the items from your order that were involved, which is based on fair market value up to the Maximum Insured Value ("MIV") you selected for each item. " @natsturner, I pray you handle this and take care of everyone affected in the most professional…
