Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls to add Jane Foster's Thor, Venom and Jubilee - following Phoenix Cyclops - in its Year One DLC pass

Following the announcement of Phoenix Cyclops as the game's first DLC character back in July (who'll finally be joining the roster on November 2nd), Arc System Works have ripped the plaster off and revealed all the other new fighters set for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls' Year One phase. Courtesy, by the by, of a beautiful illustration by Peach Momoko, the artist of 2024's unique Ultimate X-Men run. Cyclops was an easy guess for DLC after not being in the base roster, but it was a surprise to see specifically his Phoenix Force-imbued version from 2012's Avengers vs. X-Men event: a Scott Summers who's remembered by many for his incredibly cool design and not much else (he optic blasted Professor X?!). There was speculation, then, that the rest of Year One would end up being 'slightly different' versions of classic characters, such as Flash Thompson's Agent Venom over Eddie Brock as Venom, both to bring something new to the table and also to avoid fighting game players inevitably saying "Oh yeah, it's [X] from Marvel vs Capcom. How to get the DLC weapons in Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave's DLC weapons give your army a sizeable advantage, though they do come with a few drawbacks. Obtaining the weapons involves completing a new subquest, and each of the four playable Flame Lords gets a special weapon. There's a bit of timeline funkiness involved in getting those weapons to Part 2 or beyond if you've already completed someone's Part 1. It's worth the hassle, though. These weapons are only available as part of the Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave expansion pass, and they've been added to the game as Wave 1 of the DLC. Below, we explain how to get Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave's DLC weapons and what to expect from them. After you purchase and download Fortune's Weave's expansion pass, you'll get an in-game notice about the new weapons. It mentions a subquest, but says nothing about what it is or where — or when — to find it. Here's how it works, though. Each Flame Lord gets one of the new subquests, and the quest becomes available as soon as you get access to the bulletin board in Dagsion. That's roughly during Chapter 4, though when in that chapter depends on the character.

GTA 6 Recaptures What Made GTA’s Best DLC So Great

Ryan Epps is a contributing writer for Polygon. His writing spans both the entertainment and tech verticals, with bylines covering everything from Dark Souls to TVs at sites like Tom’s Guide, IGN, Digital Trends, TheGamer, Tech Times, and more. If there’s one word that describes GTA 6, it’s sexy. Since its debut trailer, the new open-world game appears to be a drastic detour from Rockstar’s previous entries, in its enhanced version of Vice City, and in the dynamic between its dual protagonists and how their steamy relationship informs the narrative. Based on roughly 30 minutes of official footage across its four main trailers, club life, excessive robberies, pastel pinks, roaring high-end sports cars, and even more explosive action set pieces than GTA 5 seem to be the hallmarks of this new experience. It’s shaping up to be Rockstar's magnum opus. Of course, while utterly gorgeous and visually striking, those elements aren’t exactly unique to GTA 6.

Valve roll out Steam Achievement Sets in beta, splitting up games’ perpetually growing trophy masses into DLC and season buckets

No more having DLC decimate your precious 100% completion badge Steam has a new feature in beta aimed at helping completionists feel like they've got a bit more of a handle on their never-ending quests to 100% games whose trophy lists keep on growing and evolving. Steam achievements can now be grouped into sets determined by the developers, creating a means of separating off the likes of DLC trophies from the base game's to-do list, thereby making it clearer what you've done so far and where you might want to focus next.

Dave the Diver is wrapping up its DLC plans with an aquatically appropriate Subnautica 2 collab

I am not a huge fan of collaboration DLCs, mostly because my curmudgeonly self can only see them as attempts at multiple companies trying to profit off of one another's things. But I do have to admit that yes, the just announced collab between Dave the Diver and Subnautica 2 does make total sense. Certainly more sense than the Godzilla one from a couple of years back. Details are a touch slim on the collab, but a reveal trailer does show off a few details. For one, the titular Dave is able to hop through a portal to Subnautica 2's ocean moon, complete with the alien sealife found in that game. That extends right through to Subnautica 2's cthulhian Leviathan, which doesn't seem best pleased to see Dave. To be fair, Dave probably wants to turn it into a nice filet, so I don't blame it honestly.
