Vancouver’s Thomas Nobbs shoots to third on Canadian all-time marathon list - Canadian Running Magazine

On Sunday, Vancouver’s Thomas Nobbs ran a speedy 2:08:35 to finish 17th at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. He was the top Canadian finisher and once again moved up the national all-time list to become the third-fastest marathoner, behind national record holder Cam Levins and marathon star Rory Linkletter, who made a surprise appearance. Ben Flanagan of Kitchener, Ont., was the next Canadian finisher, clocking 2:12:36 for 28th overall. In Dec. 2025, Thomas Fafard of Repentigny, Que., smashed the Quebec provincial marathon record in his debut at last year’s The Marathon Project in Arizona with a 2:10:29, but couldn’t set another PB on Sunday. He finished 38th overall, in 2:16:23.
