Earth’s center is moving, and NASA just measured it - Science Daily
Earth's center of mass does not stay perfectly still. As water, ice, and air move around the planet with the seasons, they redistribute enough weight to push the center of mass back and forth by fractions of an inch relative to Earth's geometric center. NASA scientists carefully track this subtle motion because Earth's center of mass serves as an essential reference point for satellite navigation and measurements of surface elevation.

Sea spider with hairy feet, three lips, and red eyes found in Canada - Popular Science
Sea spiders aren't technically spiders, but they are related to arachnids. Halloween season doesn’t technically start until October, but marine biologists are celebrating a little early this year. In a recently published study for the journal Organisms Diversity & Evolution, ecologists at the University of British Columbia have described a pair of newly identified oceanic horrors. Two species of sea spider—one that views the world through red eyes, and another crawling with parasites.

The moon’s new crater is 728 feet wide and a once-in-a-century find - Popular Science
This side-view image of McGetchin crater encompasses an area about 1.5 miles wide. The moon may look desolate and calm, but a lot happens on that dusty landscape. With zero atmosphere, space rocks of all sizes regularly bombard the lunar surface. Most of the debris is microscopic, but astronomers estimate around 140 coffee table-sized asteroids and comets also slam into our moon every year. When they do, the impact is powerful enough to produce a 30-foot-wide crater.
