Tesla is now asking businesses whether they’d like to buy and operate their own fleets of Cybercab robotaxis on its network. It’s the same pitch Elon Musk has been making since 2019: buy the cars, put them to work, and earn money while you sleep. There’s one problem with it. And it never happened, and you shouldn’t fall for it now. If running a fleet of Cybercabs were actually profitable, Tesla wouldn’t sell you a single one. more…

'So Much More Than A Fancy RAV4' - 2027 Lexus NX First Drive
Tom started his career as a daily newspaper reporter in metro Detroit and after a decade changed course to cover cars, spending the next 25 years at Wards Automotive doing test drives, technology and supplier coverage, editing WardsAuto World magazine and managing the Wards 10 Best competitions for powertrains, then interiors, then the user experience. He became executive editor at Autoweek in 2022 and joined Valnet in 2025. At CarBuzz, he's returned to his roots: a reporter seeking out news and trends and telling stories, but with more experience. Tom's wife has been putting up with him since 1990, and they have two adult children. He runs half-marathons and plays guitar in a rock band with other Detroit auto writers, called the Exhaust Tones. When the Lexus NX compact crossover came to the US in 2014, many critics found the hourglass-shaped "spindle grille" far too aggressive, some suggesting that it resembled the angry Predator face from the sci-fi thriller. The redesigned Lexus RX also got the same controversial grille treatment. But Lexus got the last laugh, because the RX and NX have consistently been the brand's bestsellers for years.

Follow Your Nose: We Drive the 2027 Lexus NX
Olfactory elements don’t typically headline a new-car introduction, but that’s the case for the 2027 Lexus NX. Five years after the arrival of the second-gen NX—currently the brand’s second-best seller—Lexus has treated it to an update that goes beyond the usual facelift, although many of the changes are hard to spot. Perhaps that’s why, at the new model’s introduction, Lexus started by showing off the new Sensory Concierge system. With Sensory Concierge, Lexus follows Mercedes, Lincoln, and others down the path of the car as a wellness spa. Making its debut in the NX, but sure to spread to other Lexus models, this is a fragrance atomizer that can coordinate with music and ambient lighting. There are three moods: Inspire, Radiance, and Revitalize. All combine a perfume diffuser, music, specific ambient lighting, and a signature visual animation on the center display (those animations stop if you shift out of Park); some of the themes also open or close the sunroof shade and alter the climate control settings. The system is initiated via the touchscreen, and doing so requires a bit of a dive: Settings, then Vehicle, then Sensory Concierge.

Matt Nelson is an automotive journalist with nearly a decade of experience in all things cars. He's spent years working at dealerships in sales, finance, and service. He's since traded in his pens and wrenches for a keyboard, and leveraged the expertise gained from his work experience into a writing career. When it comes to cars, facts, and the truth, Matt’s equal love for all three meant automotive journalism was the only path forward. Ever since the age of six, when he’d spend his time helping his father fix his family’s old Buick, Matt has had a keen interest in anything and everything with four wheels. Naturally, once Matt started working, he ensconced himself in the automotive industry and held positions spanning from car detailer, mechanic, to automotive sales and finance. Because he’s seen it all, driven most, and heard a lot, auto journalism came naturally to him. With a passion for cars like Matt’s, it’s safe to say every article will showcase his penchant for truth, accuracy, and overarching desire to make sense of the modern, complex automotive world. This means every one of his readers can be at the forefront of the most important automotive news.

'The Muscle Car Bubble Is Leaking' - 10 Golden Age Muscle Cars That Are (Finally) Losing Value
Gilbert Smith is an automotive journalist with over five years of specialized research and writing experience. Before joining CarBuzz in 2024, he produced in-depth buyer’s guides and feature articles for Vehicle History, focusing on practical insights and detailed automotive analysis. We've said time and again that you can't count on a car collection to serve as your retirement plan. Whether it's a one-of-100 limited edition Ferrari, or an antique you start with a hand crank, no car, truck, or SUV is guaranteed to hold its value forever. For the longest time, golden age muscle cars seemed to be an exception to that rule, but recent drop-offs in value paint a different picture. To Baby Boomers, late-60s muscle cars like the Dodge Charger were once worth their weight in gold. Now, that generation of collectors is aging out of track days and car shows, because the muscle car bubble is leaking. It's the bittersweet passing of an era, but the good news is that the prices are finally budging, meaning these cars are becoming more affordable for those of us who weren't lucky enough to buy one at MSRP 58 years ago.
