High school football notebook: At 6-0, North Quincy has found its footing with new coach Greg Sommers

“They’re really tough kids and they work hard in practice, so seeing that translate to games is really special.” With Sommers at the helm, the Raiders shifted from a 4-4 base defense to a 3-4 with edge defenders Pat Connor, Muhamad Alzubaidy, and Lowe moving off the line of scrimmage to play more as outside linebackers. That strategy allowed Lowe to drive on a pass to the flat to come up with his pivotal play at Hanover; it also allowed the Raiders to hold the Hawks to 43 yards and two first downs in building a 28-0 first-half cushion. A pair of Brockton brothers were sentenced to four months in prison Monday for stealing nearly $200,000 from a credit union where one of them worked, federal prosecutors said. Jenel Flounoury, 30, and Justin Flounoury, 34, were also each sentenced to three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay a joint restitution of $197,146, according to the office of Leah B.
