UK cinemas report ‘bonkers’ demand for documentary You Can See Everything

It is the film everyone seems to be talking about, spawning memes and fuelling feverish online debate about its subject, the disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. Now, a month before Nathan Fielder’s documentary You Can See Everything reaches UK cinemas, tickets for screenings are already selling out after its remarkable $15m (£11.3m) opening weekend in the US. Clare Binns, the creative director of Picturehouse Cinemas, said the excitement was reminiscent of the response to Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which became a global box-office phenomenon in 2023. “People are hungry in a way that we haven’t really seen since then,” she said. “And for it to be a three-hour documentary, it’s bonkers.”Elizabeth Holmes is questioned by Nathan Fielder in You Can See Everything. At the Ritzy in Brixton, the first screen had almost sold out, leading the cinema to sell tickets for a showing at a second.

Above this service volume, the architects at CREARCTIVE add a flexible mezzanine to serve as a multi-use loft space. A geometric oculus cut into the partition wall establishes a diagonal light connection between the mezzanine and the double-height living area, channeling light toward the rear bedroom zone.

The Rise and Fall of My Wikipedia Page

After a short entry about me mysteriously appeared, anonymous users who were seemingly men debated whether I was “credible enough” to justify my own page. Laura June Kirsch at the launch of her book Romantic Lowlife Fantasies: Emerging Adults In The Age of Hope in 2021 (all images courtesy Laura June Kirsch)Back in February, I got a Google Alert that somebody had made a Wikipedia page about me. I immediately texted my mom. She was confused — was it a good thing? Who makes these pages? She’d heard mixed things about Wikipedia. While her suspicion over enthusiasm was initially disappointing, she had a point. I moved into detective mode and asked a techy friend I had recently met through a cyberpunk friend: “Did you make this?”He did not. However, he was able to find the source that did, who appeared to be some man who wrote numerous Wikipedia pages mostly about female artists. The bio he’d written for me was simple: “Laura June Kirsch is an American photographer known for her work documenting music, nightlife and alternative subcultures.
