EVgo has previewed a new DC fast charging system capable of delivering up to 750 kW. The system will share power among charging stalls, adjusting the amount delivered to each EV as its battery’s needs change. That, of course, will be subject to what power is available across the system.
EVgo is developing and testing the chargers at its Innovation Lab in El Segundo, California, with support from Delta Electronics. Each station will have a NACS connector, and the company says the design will include easier-to-handle cables and touchless payment.

BMW builds engines so good that rival manufacturers have been quietly borrowing them for decades. While the brand's silky inline-six gets most of the glory, it's the V8 lineup that tells an equally compelling story — one that stretches back to the early 1950s, when BMW released its OHV V8 inspired in part by designs like the Oldsmobile Rocket 88. Today, BMW V8s power everything from the M5 to the XM — but the reach of these engines extends well beyond Munich's own showrooms. Several BMW V8s have found their way into cars built by other automakers, from obscure small-scale manufacturers to globally recognized names. Here's a look at the non-BMW models that have run on BMW V8 power over the years.
