What is it with the Wahlbergs and airplanes? Donnie Wahlberg narrowly averted disaster Sunday when the private jet he was in skidded off a runway at Las Vegas’s Harry Reid International Airport. “We were taking off and didn’t get up in the air,” the Dorchester native said in a video posted soon afterward on Instagram. “I’m just going to tell you these pilots saved our lives. And God covered us.”Wahlberg looks pale and shaken in the video. He’s standing on the tarmac, surrounded by emergency vehicles. The 57-year-old singer and actor says the jet — a Dassault Falcon 50 headed for Toronto — ran out of runway, but somehow managed to avoid crashing into fences, trucks, heavy equipment, and dumpsters. “It was me and my team/friends onboard the aircraft. It was a rather intense few moments,” Wahlberg wrote on Instagram. “Thankful to God, of course, and to our incredible pilots who did an amazing job of keeping us safe and avoiding a serious disaster. The airplane did take some lumps — but we did not.”Get Starting PointA guide through the most important stories of the morning, delivered Monday through Friday.
