Sam Fender calls out ticket prices ahead of tour - BBC

2 hours agoEvie LakeNorth East and CumbriaPA MediaSam Fender said prices for his 2027 stadium tour would be loweredSam Fender has called out the price of gig tickets ahead of his next tour, promising to lower the cost. The 32-year-old announced his Proper Massive Stadium Tour earlier this week, which will visit Newcastle, Cardiff, London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Manchester in summer 2027. While tickets are yet to go on sale, Fender responded to a post on social media which claimed to outline the expected ticket prices. The Geordie musician also said standing would not be split into a front and back tier and he had "no idea how this was normalised at gigs". Tickets are due to go on general sale at 09:30 GMT on Friday, with a pre-sale at the same time on Wednesday. But Fender said he was "not happy" with the reported prices. "They're getting changed," he said on Instagram. "It got inflated well more than I'd had in mind, it should only be inflated in relation to the cost of putting the show on. "The North Shields singer also said he did not want there to be an option for fans to pay more money to be closer to the front.

Russell T Davies says he gets daily hate messages for supporting trans rights2 hours agoCharlie BucklandBBC WalesGetty ImagesRussell T Davies says he receives hate messages everyday online calling him a "paedophile" Screenwriter Russell T Davies has said he gets called a "groomer" and a "paedophile" every day by online trolls over his support of transgender rights. The Doctor Who writer said comments were fuelled by his latest mini series TipToe, which focuses on a feud between neighbours on opposite ends of the political debate. Davies described it as a reflection of "real world issues" he felt necessary to speak up on and admitted he now has agents who monitor his hate "every day". "I think the rise of the online voice, the voice of anger, which is becoming more homophobic and misogynist and anti-Semitic and every problem you could name, is stepping out of the online world into the real world," he said. "I genuinely think there are dangers out there... that's the story of TipToe, every prejudice and problem arriving at your front door. "I'm very safe, I'm well off, nicely paid, I'm a white man, I have support around me...

Join 411’s Live WWE Smackdown Coverage - 411MANIA

Hey there everyone, it’s Friday so it’s time for WWE Smackdown. Full disclosure, I’m still getting over a pretty nasty head cold so hopefully you’ll all bear with me for this one. A lot of women’s action on the card tonight, WWE women’s champion Chelsea Green will defend her title against Roxanne Perez, the women’s tag belts are up for grabs as Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley defend against Michin and B-Fab, and we’ve got a good old fashioned Street fight between Blake Monroe and Giulia. There’s also a match between Mediocrity’s Finest Trophies and the still not doing much duo of Bakusai. We’re also building to Crown Jewel, which is still taking place in Saudi Arabia because who cares about the safety of everyone involved when there’s a spreadsheet balance to maintain right? To that end expect more talking from WWE champion Sami Zayn, more stooging from Johnny Gargano, more catchphrases from Trick Williams, you know all the same beats they’ve been hitting for weeks now. CM Punk and Kevin Owens are still after each other and Smackdown GM Nick Aldis has promised they’ll get the chance to kill each other but details are still forthcoming.
