Longtime Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Allen Bailey has died at the age of 37, the team announced on Wednesday. Bailey played eight of his 10 NFL seasons with the team from 2011 to 2018. Allen’s brother, Alford Bailey Jr., told TMZ that Bailey was found dead at his home on Tuesday by his wife. No foul play is suspected and the family believes Bailey died of natural causes. “Obviously, it’s terrible to hear the news that we heard,” quarterback Patrick Mahomes said. “A great teammate - you see him and he was one of those glue guys on the team. He makes plays, but [he’s] not necessarily the superstar. He kind of makes everything go...we’re praying for him and his family.”Head coach Andy Reid also paid his respects. “Our hearts go out to his family,” Reid said. “Our prayers are with them. Way too young, obviously, one of my favourite players. A great kid and I’m just sorry to see that happen to him.”A native of Sapelo Island, GA, Bailey was originally selected with the 86th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Miami. He would go on to appear in 133 games with the Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons.

Titans reportedly released Jordan Elliott after he fetched gun following scuffle in practice - The Guardian

Jordan Elliott, the defensive lineman released Tuesday by the Tennessee Titans, reportedly went to his car to retrieve a gun after an altercation in practice last Thursday. Ordered to leave the field after a scuffle with right tackle JC Latham, Elliott took off his pads, left the facility and went to the players’ lot where security cameras captured the scene, according to multiple reports from A to Z Sports and KPRC2. Defensive lineman John ‌Franklin-Myers reportedly talked ‌Elliott down and no one was hurt. Elliott did ‌not practice Friday due to “personal reasons” and was inactive for Sunday’s 26-20 win against the Indianapolis Colts. After reviewing the footage, the Titans opted to release the 28-year-old, who had signed a two-year, $8m ‌deal during the offseason. “On Thursday 15 October, there was an incident at our team facility involving Jordan Elliott,” the Titans said in a statement. “Following our review of the incident, we have made the decision to release Elliott from our roster. We will have no further comment on the matter. “Elliott appeared in the first five games of the season for the Titans.

Fantasy Football Sleepers Week 7: Breakout Players to Start and Stash - Jonah Coleman, Ja’Kobi Lane - Fantasy Alarm

I do a LOT of content at Fantasy Alarm every week. I do all the rankings. I do 10+ hours of live shows. And I do 10+ articles as well. But can I let you in on a little secret? Of all the content, this piece on sleepers who could break out each week is my favorite one. Please don’t tell the other articles. What we do in this article that is so special is that we try to identify sleepers in fantasy football. And not just any sleepers, but ones who could break out THIS week. We have one rule to make sure they are actually available to add in some leagues out there, which is that they need to be rostered in under 40% of leagues on Yahoo. As you will see, many of these guys are rostered in far fewer leagues than that. If you’d like to play along, jump in the comments on this Reddit thread and give YOUR guesses - I highlight the ones who hit in the comments of the following thread each week! Week 7 Quarterback SleepersDeshaun Watson, Cleveland BrownsSo we shared a stat this offseason. Every quarterback to run 5 times a game and play 16 games has finished as a top 10 QB in fantasy over the last decade. Every. One. You have to go back to 2014 Colin Kaepernick to find a QB who didn’t.
