Lamine Yamal Scores Golazo And Spain's Unbeaten Streak Continues - FOX Sports

Lamine Yamal kept up his run of early goals in the Nations League when he put Spain ahead with a superb sixth-minute goal against Czechia on Saturday. Spain, winners of this summer's World Cup, have now gone 41 matches without a loss. Spain coach Luis de la Fuente shook his head in admiration and disbelief as Yamal cut inside down the right and unleashed a powerful curling shot with his left foot into the top left corner. Goalkeeper Antonín Kinský could not even get near the ball. This trademark Yamal strike followed the 19-year-old star's second-minute goals against Croatia in a 4-1 win on Tuesday and away to England in a 3-2 victory on Sept. 26. The Ballon d'Or contender has also been in outstanding form for defending La Liga champion Barcelona this season. Reporting by The Associated Press. share Get more from the Spain Follow your favorites to get information about games, news and more in this topic

Cuban ambassadors ask Canada to renew rejection of U.S. embargo and fuel blockade - Global News

Havana is urging Ottawa not to drop its public opposition to the decades-long U. S. embargo as Washington ramps up pressure on countries supporting Cuba. “We are confident that Canada will stay with us, as they have done in the past,” Cuban Ambassador to Canada Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz told The Canadian Press. “The blockade and this intensification is, in practice, killing people.”The United Nations is set to vote next week on a motion Cuba has put forward nearly every year since 1992. It calls for the termination of “the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.”Canada has voted in favour of this motion multiple times. U. S. President Donald Trump’s administration has been trying to overthrow Cuba’s Communist government through a de facto oil blockade. Washington cut off Venezuelan shipments in January and has threatened to impose tariffs on countries that sell oil to the island nation. Story continues below advertisement

Kim Jong-un crosses over newly opened bridge into China - The Guardian

Kim Jong-un has travelled to China over a newly opened bridge marking the North Korean leader’s first known trip abroad in more than a year, South Korean officials have said. A government source told the Yonhap news agency on Saturday that Kim had arrived in the Chinese border city of Dandong, in Liaoning province, after taking a train from Pyongyang to Sinuiju and crossing the New Yalu River Bridge. Yonhap also reported that the Chinese premier, Li Qiang, had travelled to the city. Kim’s trip was not announced in advance and had not been confirmed by Pyongyang or Beijing by Saturday evening. China will mark the anniversary on Sunday of its entry into the 1950-53 Korean war on the North’s side. Japan’s Kyodo news agency said on Saturday that traffic controls had been imposed around the bridge and near a museum devoted to China’s role in the war, and that hotel bookings nearby had been restricted. Diplomatic sources told the agency the measures were linked to a visit by a senior North Korean official. The 3km bridge opened in mid-October, 12 years after China finished building it, after being held up by delays on the North Korean side.
