Growing up in Newport Beach, Calif., she was exposed early to the sport’s business side, as her older brother worked for the Anaheim Ducks and LA Kings. Her time at the University of Michigan cemented her desire to work in sports. At the time, she didn’t want to target a specific lane, but instead looked for wherever she could make the biggest impact. That path ran through an internship with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and one pivotal handoff — when the program’s director of player personnel passed her résumé to veteran CAA agent Pat Brisson.

Why Manchester City fans boo the Premier League and Champions League anthems - BBC

The cacophony of boos that greet the Premier League and Champions League anthems before kick-off have now become a fixture at the Etihad Stadium. The jeers from Manchester City fans were turned up a notch against Ipswich last Saturday when the side played their first home game since being found guilty of breaching the Premier League's financial rules. "I can't remember a Premier League or Champions League home game where the anthems haven't been booed," City season-ticket holder Dave Wilson told BBC Sport. The pre-match dissatisfaction towards top-flight chiefs can likely be traced back to February 2023, when the 115 charges for breaching the rules were first announced. Later that same year, Everton had 10 points - reduced to six on appeal - deducted after being found to have broken profit and sustainability rules. In their first game back after the sanction, Toffees fans displayed their ire at Goodison Park by loudly booing the league's pre-match anthem as well as holding up red cards with the word 'corrupt' printed underneath the Premier League logo. Though City supporters did not organise a similar display, their anger was clear.

Canada v England: Ellie Kildunne on bench as Red Roses ring changes - BBC

Emma Sing comes in at full-back in Kildunne's place for Saturday's rematch (00:00 BST) against Canada in Ottawa, while Tatyana Heard and Claudia Moloney-MacDonald - backline starters in the defeat - drop out of the matchday squad entirely. Helena Rowland and Mia Venner replace Heard and Moloney-MacDonald at inside centre and wing respectively. In the fourth change to the starting line-up, Sadia Kabeya, who appeared off the bench last week on her comeback from a leg injury, starts with Alex Matthews, two-time Rugby World Cup winner, dropping to the bench. Exeter's Flo Robinson and Sale's Hollie Aitchison are included on the bench as a new-look set of half-back replacements. Sing, a rangy runner who can also kick goals, started two matches at full-back during England's Six Nations campaign, with Kildunne switching to a different position on the wing on each occasion. Sing's Gloucester-Hartpury team-mate Venner made her England debut in 2020 aged just 17. Venner has won only another four caps since but was putting pressure on England's more established back three at the start of this year, appearing in wins over Scotland and Italy.
