The plug-in hybrid BYD Denza B8 didn’t set the sales charts on fire, but its high-tech suspension promised a smooth ride across just about any terrain, adjusting damping and ride height while independently controlling hydraulic pressure at each wheel. It’s a neat trick, but one driver has figured out a whole new use for it: avoiding traffic boots.

Footage circulating on Chinese social media accounts this weekend showed a BYD Denza B8 SUV driving down a public street on three wheels, its front-left wheel raised off the pavement and a yellow-and-red metal traffic clamp still attached to the raised wheel. If it’s genuine (and, frankly, even if it’s not), the video opens to the door to a whole new way to park wherever you feel like parking.

LIV Golf pro booted from DP World Tour Q-School for rules violation | News - GOLF.com

Peter Uihlein last month at LIV Golf's event in New Jersey. Peter Uihlein, who has played in LIV Golf tournaments since 2023, played two rounds at a DP World Tour first-stage qualifying school event this week and was disqualified. Uihlein’s DQ came at Huddersfield Golf Club in Huddersfield, England. He opened with rounds of four-over 74 and three-over 73, then was booted from the event after he failed to show for his third round, Bunkered’s Josh Lees reported. The disqualification comes as the future of LIV Golf remains unclear. Two weeks ago, the league finished its fifth season of play, but it’s now trying to manage the loss of its primary backer, the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. LIV CEO Scott O’Neil has said the league has received a signed term sheet with a lead investor, but has yet to name it, saying there’s “a very compressed timeline to get the deal done.”  In light of the uncertainty, O’Neil also said he was confident that LIV had “a critical mass of the right players” for the future. A commitment deadline exists, though, he said, but didn’t say when that would be.  “We have work to do,” O’Neil said. “We have things we have to accomplish.

Even the companies that build them are starting to get worried about all the features. CarBuzz has just found a patent from Ford that would let you simulate using more of those features while the car isn't moving. But it would also demand you simulate them before you can actually use them.
