More than six months after stepping down as the CEO of the Walt Disney Company in March, Bob Iger said his life today has a welcomed change of pace. "It's definitely different. The days are quieter," Iger told "Good Morning America" co-anchor Robin Roberts in an interview that aired Wednesday. "Life is in a way smaller in many respects, and I like that. "Iger spent nearly two decades as CEO, a tenure which included welcoming Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and 21st Century Fox to the Disney family, as well as launching the company's Disney+ streaming service. When asked by Roberts what he considers his greatest accomplishment at Disney, Iger expressed pride in having maintained the legacy of the 100-year-old company. "To have the opportunity not just to run the company like that, but to have the opportunity to grow the company and to strengthen the company and to hand it off to a successor, in a very healthy state, for instance, certainly, I think that would be up there," Iger said. "That you know, I did no harm. In fact, I think I actually did some good.

Democratic Virginia state Sen. Lucas accused of leading marijuana criminal conspiracy
NORFOLK, Va. -- Virginia state Sen. L. Louise Lucas, one of the state's most powerful Democrats, was charged on Thursday in connection with what federal authorities alleged was a role leading a wide-ranging criminal enterprise that acquired and distributed large quantities of marijuana and laundered the proceeds. Lucas, who has been in elected office for decades, used her political power to insulate the operation from scrutiny, according to an indictment charging her and six other defendants, including several of her relatives. She "put her own financial interests before the people she was elected to serve," said U. S. Attorney General Todd Blanche, who spoke at a news conference with FBI Director Kash Patel. Lucas surrendered, a Justice Department spokesperson said, and was expected to make an initial appearance in federal court on Thursday afternoon. The charges, including drug trafficking and money laundering, came after the FBI searched Lucas' hometown office and a cannabis shop in which she has a stake in May. At the time of the search, Lucas — who has been a vocal critic of Republican President Donald Trump's administration — characterized it as an attempt to intimidate her.

But days later, the owners announced the arcade will open its doors on Friday and Saturday for a pair of free DJ shows, with the aim of celebrating patrons who’ve buoyed the venue with support. “Thank you all SO SO MUCH for the love you’ve shown us this week,” arcade ownership wrote in their post. “We’ve received thousands of comments, DMs, and emails filled with support and ideas for the arcade. We …
