Pervasive electronic nematicity across the doping-tuned phase diagram of Kagome superconductors - Nature

We’re sharing this article early to provide faster access to peer-reviewed, accepted research. It is citable and carries a permanent DOI. This version is subject to further edits and will be replaced automatically by the final Version of Record. All legal disclaimers apply. AbstractKagome superconductors AV3Sb5 (A = Cs, K, Rb) host intertwined orders arising from electronic correlations and lattice geometry, but the nature of the high-temperature electronic state from which these phases emerge remains poorly understood. Although numerous experiments have reported rotational symmetry breaking, it is still intensely debated whether this may be a simple consequence of the symmetry of the underlying 2  × 2 charge density wave (CDW) or an entirely different mechanism. Here we use spectroscopic imaging scanning tunneling microscopy to track the evolution of electronic structure in CsV3Sb5 as the CDW is intentionally suppressed through two distinct chemical substitution routes—Sn on the Sb site and Ti on the V site.

China targets 2030 for its national blockchain network buildout

China’s five-year digital development plan calls for wider blockchain use in trade and manufacturing alongside stronger technical standards. China has set a 2030 target for largely completing a national blockchain network under a five-year digital development plan published Friday. The 15th Five-Year Plan for National Informatization, which sets priorities calls for deeper blockchain use in trade and finance in the Yangtze River Delta, and deployment at scale in manufacturing and agriculture in the Chengdu–Chongqing region in southwestern China. Friday’s plan was issued by the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, a senior body within the ruling Communist Party that coordinates digital development policy. The document makes the completion target explicit for a project already included in China’s national development plan released in March. A joint policy from the Communist Party’s central leadership and State Council published on Oct. 9 called for its construction. The new plan also calls for stronger blockchain technical standards and greater use of the technology in data circulation and trading.
