"Its combat is very reminiscent of Insomniac's Spider-Man games. "

Beyond Good & Evil 2 is reportedly still in pre-production a staggering 18 years after it was first announced, and it has apparently evolved from being a multiplayer-first project to being "solo-first" and story based, with additional, optional co-op.

The Final Fantasy 14 Typing Minigame Isn’t Even Out Yet And It’s Already Pissing Players Off

Earlier this year, Final Fantasy XIV announced that it would feature several crossover events with Square Enix’s other golden goose IP, the Final Fantasy VII remake project. In addition to featuring a raid series themed around the remake trilogy, the MMO would also add a new minigame to Gold Saucer which, like its FF7 counterpart, is a place where Eorzeans can gamble gil and partake in other leisurely, less world-savey pursuits. But though the minigame, called Keybound Brawler, isn’t out yet, it’s already pissing people off. A test of your (typing) reflexes! Keybound Brawler will be landing in the Manderville Gold Saucer on October 28, and the first iteration of the event will be a special collaboration with the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE series! ⌨️ https://t.co/5yNsdKqbV1 pic.twitter.com/JR3Yujh8Hr — FINAL FANTASY XIV (@FF_XIV_EN) October 21, 2026 Keybound Brawler is a typing game ala Typing Of The Dead which requires the use of a keyboard to complete. However, FFXIV has a rather large console player base and it seems like there’s quite a few of them who don’t keep a keyboard in arm’s reach. It’s a simple, relatively cheap fix, sure, but it’s the principle, you see.

EA Halts Development on Mobile Multiplayer Sims Game in Favor of Rumored Sims 4 Sequel

Updated: Oct 21, 2026 8:25pm UTCEA has paused development on a mobile multiplayer Sims game in favor of moving forward with a rumored Sims 4 sequel. EA announced a wide variety of changes and projects today, including the closure of BioWare and the cancelation of Mass Effect 5. It also seemed to lean into recent rumors that DICE and Respawn are making a new Star Wars Battlefront game. One other big change is that EA is shelving a mobile-first multiplayer Sims project, formerly known as Project Rene and now known as Project Lotus. The game was once envisioned as the next big Sims title, but plans changed to more of a mobile spin-off once EA saw that people were still hanging on to The Sims 4. With that game being put on the back burner, EA is shifting its focus to a Sims title that it's calling Project Evergreen. Although EA hasn't revealed what the focus of this game will be, rumors have been swirling about this project for a some time now. The game, which was rumored to be under the codename Project X, is expected to be a sequel to The Sims 4. Now, here's where it may get a bit confusing: It's not The Sims 5. It's being viewed more like The Sims 4 2.0.

Mass Effect 5 Was Supposed to Redeem the Series After Andromeda, and Now We'll Never Get That

This is an IGN opinion piece by Jackie Thomas, who has been playing and replaying Mass Effect for nearly 20 years now. I'm the sort of person who replays my favorite games whenever there's a big gap between releases. And those favorites usually end up being from the Mass Effect series, whether it's just the first game or a run through the entire original trilogy. So, for me, a Mass Effect 5 that captured the magic of the first three games has been something I've been looking forward to since before it was even announced in 2020. Now, that game will never exist, thanks to EA closing down BioWare. And that f**king sucks. When Mass Effect came out in 2007, I stood in line to get it on release night, and I played it incessently until I finished absolutely everything in it. I did the same thing when the second and third games came out, except I also played the previous games again ahead of time so everything would be fresh in my mind. Ever since Mass Effect 3 came out, I've replayed the original games maybe a dozen times. I don't even drastically change the way I play Mass Effect each time I play it.

8 Fallout 4 Replay Ideas to Make the Commonwealth Feel Brand New

What do you do when you want to play Fallout 4 again, but you already know how that first firefight in Concord goes, and how every fight after it ends? You’re not alone: One Reddit user with more than 1,000 hours in the game asked the same thing after trying every build and mod they could think of. Hundreds of hours in, even a world this big can start to feel like a to-do list — another settlement under attack, another warehouse full of raiders, another supply run. Once you’re running the Minutemen, Preston Garvey’s quests do start cycling back through places you’ve already cleared. Here are eight self-imposed rules to get you out of that rut, from swearing off anything invented after the Dark Ages to hunting animals for a living to taking over Nuka-World as a raider warlord. Vault-Tec guidelines: Start a new character on Survival difficulty. Treat dying as the end of your run. No reloading allowed. Climb out of Vault 111 and you’ll find yourself in the Commonwealth, a ruined version of Boston in the year 2287. It’s already a hostile place, with raiders, feral ghouls, and super mutants roaming the rubble. Survival mode makes it a lot less forgiving.
