OpenBSD 8.0 lands with Intel Arc graphics support - Ars Technica
OpenBSD 8.0 is here, marking the project’s 61st release and continuing its schedule of semiannual releases dating back to 1996. What started more than 30 years ago as a fork of NetBSD has grown into one of the most security-conscious operating systems in active development. In a post to the project’s announcements mailing list, OpenBSD founder Theo de Raadt highlights a host of improvements included with the latest version and writes that the project remains “proud of OpenBSD’s record of more than thirty years with only two remote holes in the default install.” The latest OpenBSD version brings new features and improvements across the board. These changes, particularly the new Intel Arc support and expanded virtual address space, should improve compatibility with modern graphics cards and allow the system to map more than 4GB of VRAM. Some of the major updates noted in the release newsletter are as follows:

Classic JRPG Tales of Eternia Gets Updated Graphics and Modern Enhancements - iXBT.games
Almost a decade after its original release, Tales of Eternia returns as a remaster on seven platforms. Tales of Eternia Remastered by Bandai Namco has been released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PS4, and PC, featuring updated graphics and a range of modern enhancements. The game is considered one of the best entries in the Tales series. Reid, Farah, and Meredy find themselves together under various circumstances, then embark on a journey that intertwines their destinies. The heroes must confront a large-scale conflict to which they initially had no connection. The other characters are also revealed through their own stories. In addition to updated graphics, the remaster includes objective markers, an accelerated auto-battle mode, and the option to disable random enemy encounters. These changes simplify world exploration and make the classic JRPG more convenient for a modern audience. To celebrate the game's release, Bandai Namco published a launch trailer. Almost 25 years have passed since the original release. Never miss our newsAdd this site to your preferred sources to see us more oftenAdd on Google

CROWN: ctDNA Analyses Help Predict Early Progression With First-Line Lorlatinib in ALK+ NSCLC - OncLive
News|Articles|October 24, 2026 Baseline and on-treatment circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) features, including TP53 mutations and methylation-based tumor fraction, were associated with early progression or prolonged progression-free survival (PFS) with first-line lorlatinib (Lorbrena) in patients with ALK-positive advanced non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), in exploratory analyses of the phase 3 CROWN trial (NCT03052608) presented at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress.1Compared with long-term responders, who were progression free at 84 months (n = 30), early progressors, who had a PFS event within 12 months (n = 22), had a higher median number of altered genes at baseline (10 vs 6), a higher median blood-based tumor mutation burden (7.7 vs 5.1), and more frequent TP53 mutations (50% vs 17%). In the lorlatinib arm, the 7-year PFS rate was 65.0% (95% CI, 54.5%-77.4%) in patients with TP53 wild-type disease (n = 73) vs 40.8% (95% CI, 27.3%-61.1%) in those with TP53-mutated disease (n = 43; HR, 0.48; 95% CI, 0.268-0.857); median PFS was not reached (NR) vs 51.6 months (95% CI, 16.4-NR), respectively.
