Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026: Archetype Entertainment Debuts Exodus “Salt” Trailer - mxdwn Games

Developer Archetype Entertainment has revealed a brand-new trailer for its upcoming sci-fi title, EXODUS, during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, officially announcing the game’s release date. The team debuted a cinematic look at the game’s high-stakes narrative and complex character dynamics. The newly released footage centers heavily on the transactional and sometimes strained relationship between the human characters and a companion known as Salt. Salt is an Awakened octopus turned mercenary and bounty hunter. In the world of EXODUS, Awakened are hyper-intelligent, bio-engineered animals that live, speak, and pilot heavy machinery alongside human society. Salt operates inside a specialized combat mech, bringing long-range sniper fire, rapid evasive mobility, and ink-like smokescreens to the battlefield.
