Nissan’s Pathfinder Turns 40, Breaks Out the Burgundy Trim to Celebrate
The Nissan Pathfinder has spent four decades going from a relatively compact two-door SUV to a serious off-roader to a somewhat softer three-row unibody family hauler. For its 40th birthday, Nissan is reaching back to the beginning with a new Special Edition that brings 1980s-spec burgundy upholstery back into the picture. The Special Edition's main attraction is its black and burgundy “TailorFit” upholstery. Nissan says the combination references the burgundy cloth seats in the original 1987 Pathfinder.
