Former GOP nominee for lieutenant governor pleads not guilty to charges of drunk driving, speeding

Police said he was unable to perform field sobriety tests due to his injuries and vomited before he was placed under arrest, records show. A police report filed in court said officers arrived at the crash to find Oliver’s Lincoln Navigator overturned. Oliver ”was sitting on a chair that a civilian had brought out for him,” the report said. “Shawn was observed to have a laceration on the right side of his head and was bleeding.”Police also spotted a badly damaged gray Camry and an extensively damaged red Camry. The latter vehicle “was pushed back, causing it to collide into another parked vehicle,” police said. “In total, 5 parked vehicles were involved.”One witness, police said, described being behind Oliver’s Navigator at a red light before the crash. “The witness stated that when the light turned green, the Navigator remained stopped, he then had to put his car in reverse in order to see if the light was green,” police said.
