(KABC) -- No arrests have been made after one person was killed and six others were wounded in a shooting at a house party in Eastvale on Saturday night, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The shooting occurred around 11:15 p.m. at a home at the corner of Morning Hills Drive and Maggie Lane. Authorities said seven people were shot in the backyard of the residence, with one victim dying from their injuries. Further details on the ages and identities of the victims were not immediately available. The six people injured by gunfire were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Neighbor Sandy Sanders said she heard the gunfire from her home. "It was pop, pop, pop. I think it was six shots, and paused, and then four more," Sanders said. According to Sanders, one of the shooting victims fled the scene and ended up in her backyard. "One of the ones that was shot jumped my wall into my yard, and my neighbor got him at gunpoint. He's an officer. And so they held him there. But it was complete chaos around here. It was terrible," Sanders said.
