I'm Gen Z, and most of my coworkers are baby boomers. I didn't expect to want to work more like them. - Business Insider

Working with an older generation has shown me that I want to be more like them. On one of my days off, I was sitting at a coffee shop when my phone buzzed with a message from a coworker. "Tech issue here, any chance you can stop by? " they asked. I've never been much of a computer whiz, but at the independent bookstore where I've worked for two years, I'm the go-to for technology problems among the staff. Granted, that's because at 24, I'm the youngest employee by just about 30 years, with some of them easily passing as my grandmother. On this particular day, a column of the spreadsheet we use to track coming releases had shifted, throwing the whole operation into disarray. All I had to do was right-click a few times, copy a few cells, and then I was on my way, hailed as a hero. At first, I felt mostly confusion and a little bit of awe. How was this business functioning successfully with so little focus on technology? But now, working with my baby boomer colleagues has changed my perspective on generational differences. Our workplace differences were noticeable immediately

Denver Offense Comes Alive In Second Half: 3 Takeaways From Broncos Win Over Rams - FOX Sports

The Los Angeles Rams appeared to be cruising to a second victory in a row on the road against the Denver Broncos, but Bo Nix had other plans. The third-year quarterback authored a 30-point, second-half comeback to take a 30-26 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night. Dubbed the "Dream Team" before the start of the regular season because of blockbuster offseason moves for players like star pass-rusher Myles Garrett and cornerback Trent McDuffee, the Rams dropped to 1-2 with the loss. Denver improved to 2-1. The Rams had one last chance from Denver’s 19-yard line, but Matthew Stafford’s attempt to Davante Adams was intercepted by safety Talanoa Hufanga, his second of the game. Denver’s offense was nowhere to be found in the first half. The Broncos were blanked on the scoreboard by L. A.’s defense while the Rams offense stayed on the field for most of the first two quarters. It was the same story as the first two weeks of the season. Denver has now scored 10 first-half points through its first three games this season.

Peter Krause Can’t Believe He’s the Grown-up Now - Esquire

Peter Krause isn’t sure exactly how this happened, but somewhere along the line he became Mr. Responsible. It seems like yesterday that he was breaking through as the prodigal son Nate Fisher on Six Feet Under, where for five seasons he was the family mortuary’s wild child, valiantly defying commitment and respectability in all its forms. The prevailing theme of that show, which premiered 25 years ago now, is that time goes fast. It sure does. From there, Krause starred in Dirty Sexy Money as an idealistic lawyer who becomes a fixer for a corrupt wealthy family, then he was the warmhearted and dependable Adam Braverman on Parenthood, and after that he was the gallant firefighter Captain Bobby Nash on the rescue drama 9-1-1. Each step of the way, his characters seemed to become wiser, stronger, and more honorable. Now his journey to dignified moral authority has reached a new level with another family-focused drama. On NBC’s Line of Fire, Krause costars with Hope Davis as the parents of grown children who all work in various branches of America’s protective services. He’s in the Secret Service, she’s a U. S.

It’s been almost two months since the Winnipeg police relaunched an open drug use blitz in downtown Winnipeg, working with Indigenous-led community outreach teams to step up enforcement in various neighborhoods, and so far opinions on the street vary on how effective the initiative has been. “The exchange community team, they walk around all the time, they come in all the time and they’re asking us what’s up, the police just the other week came in and made sure like hey is anything going on, we’re in the area, where should we be, and I was like that parking lot could use a lot of help and they’re like, sure, yeah,” said Lindsay Hammond, the manager of Colosimo Coffee Roasters.
