'We didn’t want them:' Hamilton rallies against Dominion Society, as group holds event in Burlington, Ont. - CBC

More than 100 people gathered outside of Hamilton city hall Saturday to denounce the fact that a self-proclaimed nationalist group that wants to deport millions of people from Canada planned to host a day-long conference in the city the same day. The Hope Not Hate rally said it was a gathering to “stand up against racism and bigotry,” in light of the Dominion Society’s organizing. In the end, the anti-immigration group, which had previously announced its DomCon event would take place in Hamilton on Saturday, held it down the highway in Burlington, Ont. The latest one encourages you to schedule your hot girl walk at a specific time of the day, for a specific duration, mainly in the name of weight loss. Introducing: the 6-6-6 walking challenge. While it’s unclear who exactly started the trend on TikTok, the 6-6-6 walking challenge involves walking for 60 minutes a day, either at 6 a.m. or 6 p.m., starting with a six-minute warm-up and ending with six-minute cool-down. While it's mainly promoted for its weight loss perks, it can also improve bone, heart, and brain health, according to trainers. Meet the experts: Lindsey Bomgren, CPT, is the founder of Nourish, Move, Love. Janet Hamilton, CSCS, is the owner of Running Strong. There’s a few reasons why this challenge has gained traction: “People really like and gravitate toward these 'number-specific' challenges, like the 3-2-8 pilates challenge,” says Lindsey Bomgren, CPT, founder of Nourish, Move, Love.

Retail Sports Betting Decline 2026: Down to 1% of US Handle - RG.org

Table of ContentsKey findingsRetail handle across the four largest reporting markets fell 26.7% in the first half of 2026. Online handle in the same states, over the same months, moved 0.2%. In June 2026, retail accounted for $50.4 million of a combined $4.97 billion in handle across New York, New Jersey, Illinois and Ohio: 1.0% of the market. The New Jersey DGE confirmed to RG.org that it stopped compiling a separate retail handle figure. June 2026 is the last month the split will ever appear. DraftKings ended in-person wagering at its $100 million Wrigley Field sportsbook in May 2026, 26 months after taking its first bet there. Retail sports betting in the United States did not end with a closure announcement. It ended with a formatting decision in a Trenton press release. Starting with its July 2026 figures, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement began presenting sports wagering handle as a single combined number. No separate line for the sportsbook lounges at Atlantic City's casinos and the state's racetracks. No separate line for online.

Cancer survivor fights to axe the U.K.'s sunscreen tax. Should Canada do the same? - CBC

LISTEN | Interview with skin cancer survivor Jessica Zbinden-Webster :As It Happens6:31Skin cancer survivor wants the U. K. to axe the tax on sunscreenWhen Jessica Zbinden-Webster was diagnosed with skin cancer at the age of 26, it upended everything she thought she knew about sun safety. "I had always mistakenly assumed that skin cancer was a disease that exclusively affected older people and people who had used sunbeds to excess and who had sun bathed to excess," the West Sussex, U. K., woman told As It Happens guest host Paul Hunter. "And now, of course, I'm living proof that it can happen to anyone at any time. "Now recovered, Zbinden-Webster is on a mission to convince the U. K. government to scrap its 20 per cent tax on sunscreen. Canadian cancer organizations told CBC this country should also consider making sunscreen tax-free. "Affordability is particularly important because effective sun protection is not a one-time purchase. Sunscreen needs to be applied generously and reapplied at least every two hours during sun exposure," Falyn Katz, CEO of Melanoma Canada, said in an email.
