Five things to know: Where Toronto Tempo stand after WNBA All-Star break - TSN

The Toronto Tempo resume their season with a stop in Minneapolis against the league-leading Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday night. Watch the game LIVE on TSN, TSN.ca and the TSN App at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Here’s what you need to know about the Tempo when they return from the WNBA all-star break:MONEY MABREY — Shooting guard Marina Mabrey has been the breakout star of the Tempo’s inaugural season. She’s averaging 21 points, 3.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game this year. Her 3.3 three-pointers per game are the most in the WNBA. She had 23 points, including 5-for-12 shooting from beyond the arc, for Team Coop in a 129-122 loss to Team Spoon at the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday. INJURY BUG — Toronto’s starting lineup has yet to play a game together in the team’s inaugural season. Starting guard Brittney Sykes (left plantar fascia) has been out since June 16 and there’s no set timetable for her return. Head coach Sandy Brondello was more optimistic on Sunday about forward Kiki Rice (ankle sprain), who has been out since June 3. Rice participated in a full practice on Monday morning and was listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game in Minnesota.

Global Tiger Day 2026 - WWF

To coincide with Global Tiger Day, we’d like to invite you to get to know more about this amazing species and get crafty with some tiger-themed activities! Nepal’s Government is announcing its National Tiger Survey results on Global Tiger Day. This massive undertaking – supported by WWF-UK funds – took place over the winter with the final camera traps retrieved in April this year. WWF-Nepal contributed to the survey effort through training programmes for field teams, data management and analysis, overall guidance and supervision, leadership roles, and more. Counting tigers is no easy task – these solitary big cats are elusive by design, with their stripes providing camouflage and their soft toe pads helping them to prowl silently through their habitat. To find them, the survey includes seven key phases;

Science that matters: Master’s student works to accelerate autoimmune disease diagnosis - University of Waterloo

You’ve probably never heard of Sjögren’s Disease, but it affects approximately 1% of the population and is often overlooked. This prevalent autoimmune disease affects the whole body as white blood cells attack body tissue, damaging the glands where tears and saliva are produced. Dry eyes that feel gritty, and a dry mouth that makes eating difficult are two of the most common symptoms. The challenge of treating Sjögren's Disease lies in its complexity. It overlaps with other diseases, and no two patients experience the same symptoms or symptom severity—giving it a higher chance of being overlooked during diagnosis. This is where Ivy Vong’s research comes in. As a Master of Science in Vision Science student, Vong is investigating a faster way to differentiate between Sjögren’s Disease-related dry eyes and non-autoimmune disease-related dry eyes.

Show more Show less Frequently asked questionsHow did Our World in Data process this data? All data and visualizations on Our World in Data rely on data sourced from one or several original data providers. Preparing this original data involves several processing steps. Depending on the data, this can include standardizing country names and world region definitions, converting units, calculating derived indicators such as per capita measures, as well as adding or adapting metadata such as the name or the description given to an indicator. At the link below you can find a detailed description of the structure of our data pipeline, including links to all the code used to prepare data across Our World in Data. Read about our data pipelineNotes on our processing step for this indicatorFor Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania, we calculated the share ourselves, using our definition of the continents. For each continent and year, we took the average of the shares of the countries with data, weighted by each country's population. This assumes that countries without data have the same share as the rest of their continent.

We will never surrender: Canada - The Hill Times

Canadians are, increasingly, up for a unified, targeted resistance. We will fight in the grocery aisles, we will fight in the liquor stores, we will cancel our trips south: we will never surrender! Prime Minister Mark Carney, left, and U. S. President Donald Trump. Canadians continue, by and large, to support Carney’s approach, as do most premiers. But patience is running out after a number of government concessions—on the digital tax, the Gordie Howe Bridge, our disgraceful support for the war on Iran—have not changed a thing.
