Defence Minister David McGuinty said that as of Tuesday morning, 33 members of the Canadian Armed Forces are still in hospital after a fatal fire swept through the CFB Wainwright base on Saturday. McGuinty said he returned from a trip to Alberta meeting with military members and frontline health care workers who dealt with “a very difficult situation.” He said the circumstances are “delicate and evolving” for those still in hospital but wouldn't comment further on their conditions.
