Forecasting the Next Five Years of Business Jet Deliveries – Part 2 - Forecast International
Part 1 (https://lnkd.in/ebQSmHXb) laid out the raw material behind this forecast: a six-OEM market where 1Q26 backlog growth ranges from 43% at Bombardier to roughly flat at Embraer and Textron; a US GDP correlation that only becomes meaningful once measured as growth-on-growth rather than growth-on-level (rising from a meaningless −0.28 to a real 0.50 correlation); and a group of manufacturers telling visibly different stories about their own near-term demand, with Bombardier and Gulfstream building backlog while Textron and Embraer grow revenue through pricing and mix instead of volume. Part 2 turns that raw material into an actual forecast: the three-layer methodology used to build it, why it departs from standard industry practice, and what the resulting 2026-2030 numbers mean for owners, buyers, sellers, and financiers.

‘They shouldn’t be surprised’: Nova Scotians take stand against major data centre project - Global News
A group of Nova Scotians gathered on the waterfront in Halifax on Saturday with a message for Premier Tim Houston: allowing the construction of a large data centre will be detrimental to the environment and the community. “These companies don’t have a lot of information that they’re able to give us, we don’t know what this is gonna look like, we already have wells that are drying up in the summertime. I don’t think we can afford to do this,” Megan Boudreau, one of the protest organizers, told Global News. Energy and infrastructure company, EverWind, announced on Friday $10 billion in private investment in a data centre campus at its existing Point Tupper site. The site would be leased and run by AI development company Anthropic, the creator of the AI assistant Claude. “Canadians are using Claude in growing numbers, and we want our infrastructure to be closer to the people who rely on it,” said Jacob Glick, head of Canada Public Policy with Anthropic.
