Jesse Eisenberg Says He ‘Couldn’t Get Movie Studio Parts Anymore’ After Winning A Razzie For ‘Batman v Superman’: ‘The Industry Did Not Want Me to Be in a Superhero Movie’ - Variety

Jesse Eisenberg has said he was frozen out of studio movies after winning a Razzie for Zack Snyder’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” The Razzies — short for Golden Raspberry Awards — are a tongue-in-cheek ceremony that “honor” the supposedly worst films of the year. Unlike Michael Che, SNL UK's Weekend Update has lots to say about Shane Gillis - A.V. Club

Further widening the perceived boldness gap between the U. S. and U. K. iterations of Saturday Night Live‘s fake news Weekend Update segment, SNL UK‘s Ania Magliano didn’t hold back about the American show’s widely criticized booking of third-time host Shane Gillis last week. In contrast to U. S. Update anchor Michael Che’s diplomatic and/or issue-dodging lack of response to Gillis calling women “whores” for wearing shorts during his monologue (Che essentially says he was too busy promoting his new Netflix special to think about it) Magliano used her desk time to do a double-shot of jokes aimed at right at Gillis. In a story about an Oktoberfest amusement ride giving out free bike shorts to female riders to guard against creepy men taking upskirt photos, Magliano, with her signature cheeky camera stare-down, noted, “Wearing the gym shorts will protect women from being upskirted, but it does make them vulnerable to something much worse.” The punchline flash of a mid-monologue photo of Gillis brought knowingly uproarious cheers from the English studio audience.
