Broncos beat Seahawks in OT with key interception, walk-off FG - TSN

DENVER (AP) — The Denver Broncos are atrocious on offense, depleted on defense and shaky on special teams. All they do is find ways to win. Ja’Quan McMillian intercepted Sam Darnold’s pass in overtime Thursday night and Wil Lutz kicked a 53-yard field goal that gave the Broncos a 17-14 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. The Broncos emerged from a tough six-week season-opening stretch with a 4-2 record despite an injury-riddled roster and a shaky quarterback, and the Seahawks (3-3) lost for the second time in five days. They also matched their loss total from last season, when they won their second Super Bowl title. The Broncos won despite Bo Nix throwing for just 107 yards, J. K. Dobbins leading the rushing attack with a mere 41 yards and managing a meager three first downs and 168 yards of total offense — less than half the 353 yards piled up by the Seahawks. “I don’t know why we can’t really push the ball vertically right now,” Nix said. “But defenses are just sitting back and hanging out. ... Hopefully we find a way to get more out of it.”Nix was as honest as he’s been to date in his postgame comments about Denver’s scuffling offense.

Super Bowl stock report for NFL Week 5: Jaguars enter peak form, Eagles trend toward rebuild - CBS Sports

We assess the NFL title race after Week 4 and identify three upcoming games that could reshape the Super Bowl picture The NFL International Series rolls on in Week 5 with the second of three games in London, and it marks the first of two consecutive contests in England for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Liam Coen's team returns to its "home away from home" across the Atlantic Ocean for a matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles: A contest between two teams trending in opposite directions. If the Eagles are to save their season and return to Super Bowl contention after back-to-back losses, this is an ideal spot to prove they can beat one of the best teams in the league. If the Jaguars handle their business as favorites, they will extend their winning streak to three games and improve to above .500 all-time in games held in London. That is not the only impactful showdown on the road to the Super Bowl this week. In fact, even more seismic collisions occur on the West Coast with an NFC West battle between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks and a meeting between the two Super Bowl favorites in the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills.

NFL Week 4 picks and score predictions: Texans get first win, Bengals edge Jaguars - CBS Sports

I'm not saying the NFL should cancel Week 4, but Roger Goodell might at least want to think about postponing it a few days so we all have time to recover from the craziness of Week 3. There were 12 games decided by one score, which was tied for the most of any week ever in NFL history. There were some highs in Week 3, there were some lows, and then there was whatever the Packers did in that Thursday night game against the Falcons. I would say it was the worst performance of the week, but then the Eagles showed up on Monday night and got torched by a third-string quarterback in Case Keenum. In related news, Case Keenum now has more TD passes (2) on the year than Drake Maye. If you didn't know that Keenum was still in the NFL, don't worry, I think that describes almost everyone. Speaking of everyone, I would now like to share my picks with everyone, so let's get to them. Actually, before we get to the picks, here's a quick reminder that you can check out the weekly picks from every CBSSports.com NFL expert by clicking here, but you were probably already well aware of that since I mention it every week. One thing that I don't mention every week is that I also write an NFL

Knee Jerk Reactions to Week 3: Patriots vs. Jaguars - Barstool Sports

Things to consider while preferring the sweet release of a watery grave in the Atlantic to all of this:--Can you blame me? Maybe I'm just overreacting to the moment, but I don't think so. Today this feels more like all the people I was railing against two weeks ago for abandoning ship on Drake Maye were just ahead of the curve. And now there's no room on the lifeboats for me. --As bad as things got in the Late Belichick- and throughout the Mayo Era, this feels somehow much worse. Then, we were in the post-imperial phase of the Dynasty. We were Western Europe after Rome fell, an interregnum with no ruler and no one qualified to maintain the basic functions of society. But last year it had been largely restored under a new Emperor. One who was better equipped to lead us into a new epoch. With a young general who seemed invincible in battle and was feared by all the Successor States that tried to fill the power vacuum left by the old Empire. This was supposed to be a time we saw that former glory restored. Now it just seems like the Dark Ages all over again.--And all this coming after another seemingly terrific offseason.
