Lost Boy Entertainment LLC Helps Artists Navigate a Crowded Music Industry - Complex

When thousands of new songs are added to streaming platforms every single day, the barrier to releasing music has never been lower, while gaining an audience still remains a challenge. Every day, tons of new music arrive on digital platforms, forcing emerging artists to compete for attention across Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and countless other digital channels. A new level of social media consumption has inspired an entire generation to pursue careers as musicians, influencers, content creators and entrepreneurs. For Gen Z in particular, building a following from a phone is no longer an unusual idea. Social media has given young creators direct access to millions of potential fans without necessarily needing the traditional gatekeepers of record labels, radio and television. But accessibility has created a new problem: saturation. There may be more opportunities than ever to become the next breakout star, but with more opportunity comes more competition. It has now become a contest for who can capture the most amount of attention. Finding ways to market your music or brand is an important part of an artist's development.

Orient Brings Its Affordable Watch Formula to a Crowded Sports Watch Trend - Two Broke Watch Snobs

Integrated-bracelet sports watches aren’t hard to find in 2026. Orient is showing up after the category’s busiest stretch, and my first reaction to the new Flusso was pretty predictable: do we really need another one? Maybe. Orient at least has some history to work with. The Flusso draws from the SK, or “Super King,” watches Orient sold during the 1970s and ’80s. According to Orient, the four recessed details around the case reference the protruding hardware found on those earlier models. I think that connection is legitimate, although I wouldn’t call the Flusso a revival. The old SK feels more like a starting point for a modern watch that happens to land in a very familiar category.

Investigation of the dosimetric characteristics of real-time silicone/Bi - Nature

We’re sharing this article early to provide faster access to peer-reviewed, accepted research. It is citable and carries a permanent DOI. This version is subject to further edits and will be replaced automatically by the final Version of Record. All legal disclaimers apply. AbstractThis study presents the development of high-sensitivity real-time X-ray dosimeters based on room-temperature-vulcanized (RTV-2) silicone nanocomposites incorporating 0–60 wt% Bi2O3 nanoparticles, fabricated via solution casting. Structural and morphological characterization using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) with elemental mapping, and elemental analysis confirmed the uniform dispersion of monoclinic Bi2O3 nanorods within the amorphous RTV-2 matrix. Complementary Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) validated the chemical integrity, thermal stability, and mechanical robustness of the resulting nanocomposites. Dosimetric performance was investigated under diagnostic-range X-ray exposure using a COMET MXR 320/26 source (dose rates: 2.8–12 mGy/min).

Something Unexpected Is Happening to Antarctica’s Collapsing Ice Cliffs - SciTechDaily

Antarctica’s towering ice cliffs may be more resilient than scientists once feared. New satellite observations reveal surprising natural mechanisms that could reshape predictions of future sea level rise. Credit: ShutterstockSatellite observations show Antarctic ice cliffs stabilizing after unexpectedly rapid collapse, challenging assumptions about runaway ice loss and its contribution to rising seas. Antarctica’s ice shelves help hold back the ice sheet behind them, but rising temperatures are causing these supports to melt and break apart at record rates. As sheer ice cliffs are left exposed, scientists have worried that a collapse could reveal a taller cliff farther inland, setting off a chain of failures that eats into the ice sheet and raises seas worldwide. In a four-year satellite survey of more than 15,000 Antarctic ice cliffs, researchers at MIT and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) found that the tallest cliffs they examined closely did collapse, and the ice sheet in those regions retreated faster than models predicted. “But that retreat was short-lived,” says Caroline Needell, a graduate student in the MIT-WHOI Joint Program.
