US First Lady Melania Trump has "successfully secured" a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine in the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky, the White House has said. It said the truce in the "front-line war city on the brink of disaster" without medicine, food and clean water would begin on 29 October. Ukraine and Russia confirmed the deal was agreed to evacuate residents and deliver aid. Moscow said its forces would stop firing at 04:00 (02:00 GMT) on 27 October. The statement did not say how long the ceasefire would be in place for.
