Description
Christina Applegate says she was misdiagnosed with multiple sclerosis and has lived for years believing she had the disease. The Emmy-winning actress told her podcast co-host, Jamie-Lynn Sigler from “The Sopranos,” that she was “not happy at all” when a doctor recently told her the news. Applegate said she still battles with debilitating health issues, which require the use of a wheelchair. She first announced her MS diagnosis in 2021. Since then, Applegate has been an outspoken advocate and has written about her struggles with the disease in a recent memoir. Public health experts say nearly one in five patients diagnosed with MS are actually misdiagnosed. Watch PBS News for daily, breaking and live news, plus special coverage.
