Description
Sam Forstag parachuted out of planes to fight wildfires for a living. Now, he's trying to become the first Democrat elected to the U.S. House from Montana in more than three decades. Forstag is running on a populist platform, attempting to flip an open seat that the Cook Political Report now considers a tossup. Leading up to the 2026 midterm elections, The Post’s Anna Liss-Roy is grilling candidates in races across the country, pressing Republicans and Democrats to share their takes at high speed.
