Former ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ star opens up on estrangement from his siblings

Former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star Collin Gosselin told All Things Considered host Juana Summers he’s estranged from most of his siblings, and he blames his mother, Kate Gosselin, from whom he is also estranged. In a new memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight,” Collin Gosselin says his mom isolated him from his sisters and brothers when they were children, and also alleges he was physically and emotionally abused because he no longer wanted to be filmed for the show. Kate Gosselin has not responded to NPR’s request for comment on her son’s allegations, but in the past, has denied all allegations of abuse.
