The protests were sparked by rising education costs and alleged government corruption, with many demanding the resignation of the prime minister, Edi Rama. The recent wave of demonstrations came after months of largely peaceful demonstrations, labelled the “flamingo revolution”, over plans for a controversial tourism complex championed by Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. The unrest is part of a broader wave of student activism sweeping Europe over education and living conditions. #albania #albaniaprotests #tirana #protests #jaredkushner #ivankatrump #donaldtrump
