Description
Saturday is the last day for advance polls in Alberta, ahead of Monday's vote on a pivotal referendum on separation. Elections Alberta reported more than 703,000 people have now cast their ballots in advance voting. Combined with special ballots, that's more than 1.2 million Albertans who have already voted. Prime Minister Mark Carney and other leaders have toured the province this week, making the case to voters for staying in Confederation. But separatist leaders have been mounting their own efforts to push the independence movement ahead of Monday. Jeff Semple spoke to one of those leaders and reports from Edmonton — where a pro-separation rally is set to take place.
