AI, Cybersecurity And Digital Assets: Where Emerging Technology Enforcement Risk Is Moving - Mondaq

A firsthand look at how AI governance, autonomous trading, cybersecurity, and digital-asset fraud are shifting enforcement risk toward the decisions firms make and the records they preserve. Last week, I joined Ariella Guardi, Robert Musiala and Luke Tenery, with Charu Chandrasekhar moderating, at Securities Enforcement Forum Central in Chicago for a discussion on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital assets and emerging technology enforcement. The discussion reflected a shift in the enforcement landscape. Regulators and market participants are no longer dealing only with whether new technologies fit within existing regulatory categories. Increasingly, the harder questions concern what happens when firms actually deploy those technologies at scale.

15-Minute Technology: AI Scheduling & Stationed Veterans Redefine Community Last-Meter Door-to-Door Services – Transforming From E-Commerce "Selling Goods" to Reliable Service Leadership Beyond Alibaba’s Transaction Matching & JD’s Distribution - 36Kr

Currently, China's domestic home intelligence, home appliance maintenance and community people's livelihood service tracks are trapped in structural dilemmas featuring excess hardware, insufficient services, lack of trust, artificially high costs and safety gaps. The industry has entered a critical window period of shifting from stock competition to the after-market service era, but the five long-standing core pain points have never been completely resolved by traditional e-commerce platforms, home appliance brands and community service enterprises, and the real consumption and service demands of massive family users have been continuously suppressed. According to authoritative industry data, the fault of after-sales system discontinuity is particularly prominent. The after-sales services of current mainstream home appliance brands generally adopt the outsourcing model, which directly leads to delayed fault response, vague division of rights and responsibilities, and frequent prevarication in after-sales services.

Dow Partnership Advances Recyclable Polymer Technology - Northwestern University

Oct 15, 2026The ProblemConventional crosslinked polymers found in car tires, rubber bands, and other everyday items are durable, but their permanent crosslinks prevent them from being recycled. Our IdeaResearchers developed crosslinks that remain strong during use but can break and reform during reprocessing, allowing the material to be recycled multiple times. Why It MattersThe approach could make widely used crosslinked polymers recyclable using improved industrial processes. Our TeamProfessor John Torkelson; PhD graduates Boran Chen (PhD ’24), Logan Fenimore (PhD ’25), Yen-Wen Huang (PhD ’26), and Mathew Suazo (PhD ’26); Dow researchers Evelyn Auyeung (PhD ’14), Stephanie Barbon, Hayley Brown, and Colin Li Pi Shan. Northwestern Engineering’s John Torkelson and eight collaborators from Northwestern University and the Dow Chemical Company have been selected to receive the 2027 Cooperative Research Award in Polymer Science and Engineering from the American Chemical Society’s (ACS) Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering (PMSE). An award symposium in their honor will be held at the Spring 2027 National ACS Meeting in New Orleans.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra review: The phone you have to buy if photos matter more than foldables - Business Insider

The S26 Ultra still offers the best cameras on a Samsung, even over the pricier Z Fold 8 Ultra. From the early days of Android, Samsung has stood out as a leader of the pack, and over the last few years, the Ultra tier of Samsung's flagship Galaxy S line has served as a high bar for the rest of the market. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is the latest phone to fill that role, and it's little surprise that it's bringing a lot to the table. The S26 Ultra naturally packs the latest high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip for extreme speeds that'll hold up for years to come. It has a robust camera system that can rival the rest of the market. And for 2026, it naturally has a lot of AI features trying to find practical ways to fit into our lives. Samsung may not be innovating much in the phone's design, leaving it a tame-looking device with little to differentiate it from prior models, but it's still an all-around great phone with a little room for improvement here and there and hardly any major shortcomings. It comes at a high price, starting at $1,399 (it was $1,299 before a post-release price increase), so it won't be for everyone.
