How to get the DLC weapons in Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave's DLC weapons give your army a sizeable advantage, though they do come with a few drawbacks. Obtaining the weapons involves completing a new subquest, and each of the four playable Flame Lords gets a special weapon. There's a bit of timeline funkiness involved in getting those weapons to Part 2 or beyond if you've already completed someone's Part 1. It's worth the hassle, though. These weapons are only available as part of the Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave expansion pass, and they've been added to the game as Wave 1 of the DLC. Below, we explain how to get Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave's DLC weapons and what to expect from them. After you purchase and download Fortune's Weave's expansion pass, you'll get an in-game notice about the new weapons. It mentions a subquest, but says nothing about what it is or where — or when — to find it. Here's how it works, though. Each Flame Lord gets one of the new subquests, and the quest becomes available as soon as you get access to the bulletin board in Dagsion. That's roughly during Chapter 4, though when in that chapter depends on the character.

World of Warcraft: Forever's beta will be free for a limited time next week, giving players who want to check out the new version of Blizzard's old-school MMORPG but don't want to pay $60 for beta access a chance to see what all the hype is about. Blizzard announced a WoW: Forever stress test will begin October 19 at 2 PM PT/ 5 PM ET, with no WoW subscription or beta access needed to play. The goal is to put the game's servers through their paces ahead of launch. After selecting WoW: Forever from the list of games, players can select to install the stress test under the "Game Version" drop-down menu. There is, however, a catch. Anime Gambling Horror Game Ditches Free Steam Demo So It Doesn’t Get Ripped Off By AI

Drunken Goddess Reflux is an anime horror game in which you play Russian Roulette with a demon. Gambling mechanics are involved and your survival seems pegged to getting the demon bartender drunk so that she spills certain secrets. The trailer also exudes third-act creepypasta twist vibes. The game was supposed to get a free demo as part of next week’s Steam Next Fest, but the developers say they’ve now decided to ditch that plan. That reason why has to do with generative AI. “We have decided to cancel the public release of the Drunken Goddess Reflux demo, originally scheduled for Monday, October 19, and will instead hold a closed play session for a limited number of participants,” developer Alliance Arts wrote in an update on Steam today. “We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the demo for making this change so close to the planned release date.” They say the plan had originally been to release the demo with restrictions in place that would prohibit players from streaming the game or sharing certain gameplay videos of it online, but given the size of the team, they realized that would be too impractical to enforce.

This Espresso Machine Can Run Doom

Before caffeinating yourself in the morning, the Fellow Espresso Series 1 machine can actually run 1993's Doom on its small, circular screen. Reddit user FullExtraction showed off the classic FPS, utilizing the brew button to run and steam button to shoot. The scroll wheel on the device turns Doomguy either left or right. There's also a wider-angle video of Doom working on the espresso machine, via custom firmware. The game looks pretty smooth in the snippet, showcasing a solid frame rate. Out of the box, that circular screen provides a user interface to choose what drink you're making--such as an americano, cappuccino, or even a straight shot of espresso. It will provide text directions as well as a timer for extraction, too. Or, apparently, you can blast some demons. https://www.reddit.com/r/espresso/comments/1x79c1q/yes_itrunsdoom_fellowes1/?solution=8902c77b28c56b408902c77b28c56b40&js_challenge=1&jsc_token=2824be10929bdc604753c70a67a1c33158037e61e2abdf23ade535fe55d21d18&jsc_orig_r=&share_id=ui9ELfiTwjxjO8TqG2sE1&utm_content=1&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1 This espresso machine joins a long, long list of devices, games, and even potatoes that ca

Shrek 2 Remaster Leaks, Looks Amazing And I Need It Now

A remaster of 2004's Shrek 2: The Game is on the way, according to an Xbox.com listing that seems to have been published too soon. The page for the unannounced game--which has since been removed--says the remaster will feature better textures, enhanced UI, and 4K resolution. Like the original PS2, Xbox, and GameCube game, the remaster lets you play solo or in co-op with up to three friends, locally or online. The playable characters include Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey, among others. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hICuo4Yfp5E In addition to the updated graphics, the Shrek 2 remaster includes a new Photo Mode and Cheat Mode. The original was published by Activision, but Aspyr Media is bringing this game to market. That company was also behind the recent The Lord of the Rings re-releases. A glorious scene from the Shrek 2 remaster. The Xbox page for the Shrek 2 remaster does not list a release date or a price. The game is expected to come to PlayStation as well, and Switch wouldn't be a surprise either. Aspyr should release it on November 19 to go up against GTA 6 in a heavyweight battle for the ages. This game may have leaked through Xbox, but the official Shrek account posted a compil

WoW: Forever Just Changed The Math On What Race To Play In A Big Way

World of Warcraft: Forever's beta is set to end in just a few days on October 21, but that hasn't stopped Blizzard from making some major changes to the game's various racial abilities. Unlike in the modern version of WoW, where racial abilities are so minor that they mostly feel cosmetic, racial abilities in WoW Classic (and now in Forever) are a big part of why players choose to play a particular race. Some races synergise better with certain classes or playstyles. Others even benefit more from using specific types of weapons. Or at least they used to. In Forever's latest beta update, developer Blizzard has overhauled many of the MMO's racial abilities to remove weapon-specific buffs and improve some abilities that were seen as lackluster by the community. The removal of weapon-based passives for humans, dwarves, and orcs is a significant change. Orcs used to favor axes, humans swords and maces, and dwarves guns. In WoW Classic, that meant an increased weapon skill when using those weapons, resulting in a better chance to hit and increased damage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miSndSl23bI That changed for WoW: Forever's beta. Blizzard kept some of the weapon-specific flavor,

New RPG From Final Fantasy, Persona Vets Borrows From The Past To Ask How We Can Save The Future

If, on one end of the spectrum, you have Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and the Persona franchise returning turn-based RPGs to critical and commercial acclaim once again, and on the other you have modernized nostalgia packaged as HD-2D RPGs, then Eternal Anima sits somewhere in the middle. It’s a game that finds its own niche in the current, revitalized RPG field, even if it can at times feel a bit too much like a greatest hits compilation for the genre. An all-new Japanese RPG developed by a team of industry veterans and notable outsiders at Marvelous, Eternal Anima is thematically driven by the responsibility that comes with inheriting the world and then passing it on to the next generation. How do the actions of our past ripple into the present and future, and how do those past choices shape the world that exists today? Eternal Anima‘s director, Katsuhisa Higuchi, was a programmer on a number of early Final Fantasy games,  also worked on Chrono Trigger and more recently served as a director on Capcom’s first two Monster Hunter Stories games.

GTA 6 Recaptures What Made GTA’s Best DLC So Great

Ryan Epps is a contributing writer for Polygon. His writing spans both the entertainment and tech verticals, with bylines covering everything from Dark Souls to TVs at sites like Tom’s Guide, IGN, Digital Trends, TheGamer, Tech Times, and more. If there’s one word that describes GTA 6, it’s sexy. Since its debut trailer, the new open-world game appears to be a drastic detour from Rockstar’s previous entries, in its enhanced version of Vice City, and in the dynamic between its dual protagonists and how their steamy relationship informs the narrative. Based on roughly 30 minutes of official footage across its four main trailers, club life, excessive robberies, pastel pinks, roaring high-end sports cars, and even more explosive action set pieces than GTA 5 seem to be the hallmarks of this new experience. It’s shaping up to be Rockstar's magnum opus. Of course, while utterly gorgeous and visually striking, those elements aren’t exactly unique to GTA 6.

MTG Darkhold Destiny Arcanum Bundle: What's Inside and Is It Worth The Price Tag?

Posted: Oct 16, 2026 6:00pm UTCPreorders are now open for Magic: The Gathering's next Marvel crossover, Darkhold Destiny. Amazon has already listed the Darkhold Destiny Arcanum Bundle for $99.99, sold directly by the retailer, which is quickly becoming one of the most popular items from the new set. For comparison, trading card marketplace TCGplayer is asking $200 for the same bundle, meaning Amazon is $100.01 cheaper. On the other hand, you shouldn’t take TCGplayer’s lowest price as the best listing available on the site in the short term, as there are currently only two sellers at this time; we expect more to appear as time goes on. In the meantime, the Darkhold Destiny Arcanum Bundle has an interesting collection content-wise, and whether it’s worth the price tag or not more or less depends on what you’re looking for. Arcanium BundleWhat's Inside the Darkhold Destiny Arcanum Bundle? Along with a Collector Booster (alt-art Arcanum promo cards and Full-Art Lands), you’ll also get eight regular Booster Packs inside Darkhold Destiny’s Arcanum Bundle.

Nonolith traps you in a living maze and challenges you to find hidden terrain magic using good old copy-paste

After enjoying Echo Weaver last week, I'm in the market for games that gaze with utmost scorn upon the concept of unlockable abilities, smugly declaring that everything you need to complete them is available to you from the word go. There was a time when the idea of a game without unlocks wasn't all that novel, you know. Indeed, you young people may be surprised to hear that videogames pre-date the act of unlocking. Genesis-era Sonic the Hedgehog never unlocked so much as a +5% SPD perk. Still, Genesis-era Sonic wasn't a bizarrely malleable 2D puzzler like Nonolith. Created by Justcamh, it casts you as a hapless gnome who is trapped inside a colossal living edifice. Aside from running and jumping, you have the power to copy-paste, move, rotate or delete chunks of the very scenery.

The Street Fighter Movie: The Kotaku Review

From the moment Legendary Pictures and Capcom revealed its new live-action Street Fighter, there was a ceiling placed above it. This movie could either be so bad it’s good or so bad it’s just bad. There wasn’t a third option, at least, that’s what I thought for around a year. It turns out, there is a third option: it’s both.  Street Fighter is basically two movies in one: It is one half the aforementioned “so bad it’s good” flick, running into walls hard enough to break through them as it shatters the shackles of a faithful adaptation and becomes an incomprehensible parody of Capcom’s fighting games. Also equally present is the “so bad it’s bad” film that is baffling from both a filmmaking and storytelling perspective. Both of these movies are connected by fights that are fun to watch and disconnected by ones it refuses to show. The strained threads that manage to hold it all together are a constant barrage of bits of varying quality that every actor commits to with such tenacity that it all somehow turns around to being brilliant? To be clear: Street Fighter’s a bad movie.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Is Finally Fixing One Of Its Most Frustrating Features

Pokémon TCG Pocket is about to turn two years old at the end of this month, and with that developers DeNA are announcing a bunch of changes that are coming to the mobile game. Alongside word that there will be new ways to get hold of the animated Immersive Cards, a way to build meta decks in-game, and a much-needed improvement to trading, there comes the very welcome news that the release cycle of new sets is finally due to slow down and become less overwhelming. It might seem an odd complaint that PTCG Pocket is releasing too many new sets and gorgeously drawn cards, but if you’ve tried to keep up with the game over the last two years you’ll understand. Every month comes a whole new collection of packs to open, each coming with full-art cards of varying rarities to collect, and new abilities that up-end the battling scene. It has become exhausting to keep up with no matter how you approach the game, creating a severe FOMO effect. Slowing down this cadence sounds like a splendid idea, allowing more time to catch up with collecting recent sets, and slowing the rapidity of the changing meta.
