At the same time, buyers still want entertainment, but they've leaned heavily toward known brands, proven formats, and recognizable IP. “It's an exciting time for entertainment formats right now. We are all too well aware of the challenges in the market. Still, in many ways, this is firing creativity, both in terms of IP development and in terms of deal-making,” Ella Umansky, VP, Format Acquisitions at ITV Studios, stated. “In terms of big swings and mainstream hits, entertainment formats will always be a crucial part of the ecosystem. In a difficult and changing world, audiences turn to the warmth, fun and nostalgia of entertainment brands. At the same time, broadcasters and streamers can make the most of clever production models and studio hubs to build a hit,” she added. “The state of the industry is always changing; the challenge is to adapt!

Calinos Entertainment is expanding its Mipcom 2026 slate with three Turkish limited series: “Between the World and Us”, “Runaway” and “The Choice”. The titles will be presented to international buyers and partners in Cannes from October 12–15. Radial Entertainment has officially launched "Paranormal Chronicles," a premium FAST channel dedicated to paranormal investigations, documented hauntings, unexplained phenomena, and mystery-driven true crime.
