Curiosity Greets a Spectacular Dawn Sky on Mars - Universe Today
NASA’s Curiosity Mars Rover gives us another amazing view of its Gale crater home. Mars is a planetary geologist’s paradise. NASA’s Curiosity rover drove that home recently, with a captivating panorama seen from the slopes of Mount Sharp. The image shows a stunning vista, and was not white-balance adjusted during processing, to show just what a viewer might really see at sunrise standing of Mars.

NASA’s Curiosity Captures Dawn Breaking on Wind-Carved Cliffs - NASA Science (.gov)
NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover captured this panorama of sunrise illuminating distant, wind-carved features called yardangs on Aug. 11, 2026, the 4,982nd Martian day, or sol, of the mission. Scientists are eager to learn more about how the yardang layer formed. Figure A is a crop zooming in on the distant yardangs.

Powerful simulations reveal how the first stars changed the universe - Science Daily
Researchers are using extraordinarily detailed computer simulations to reconstruct one of the most transformative periods in cosmic history: the era when the first stars and galaxies began to emerge. The work is part of the MEGATRON project, led by researchers at the University of Bath in the UK with collaborators at the University of Chicago in the US and the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris in France. The project is designed to explore how the earliest stars and galaxies illuminated a previously dark Universe and began producing and dispersing the chemical elements that later became essential ingredients of planets, life, and the world around us.
