This announcement has seemingly been leaked ahead of schedule via an official Xbox Store listing. A GTA 6-style promotional trailer has also surfaced online.
This action-adventure game was originally released in 2004 on multiple platforms including the GameCube. The Game Boy Advance also got its own version. As for this remaster, according to the now-removed store listing, it will apparently include improved graphics, new features, and up to four-player co-op (local and online). The Prophecy Was True: A Shrek 2 Remaster Is Coming, For Some Reason
After leaking last month during the big Steam/Exophase achievement dump, we have our first look at Shrek 2: Remastered, which is bringing the four-player co-op game to modern consoles. This reveal, ironically enough, also came from a leak, but this time it’s Xbox’s fault for accidentally posting its store page up too early. The listing includes multiple screenshots, a pre-order trailer, and a lengthy description of all the new features and updates coming to the 2004 platformer. The game is getting a facelift with “better textures, enhanced UI, [and] 4K resolution,” as well as new features like a Photo Mode and a Cheat Mode that lets you modify the game. It will support both local and online co-op, so if you’re getting your kids into Shrek ahead of Shrek 5 next year, you can play it with them, or if you have nostalgia for the original game and want to play it with your friends and siblings who live far away, there’s an online option. I played Shrek 2 when it came out and I was surprised how much of it came back to me when watching the trailer.

Shrek 2 Remastered Microsoft Store page appears
Now with improved graphics and new features. A Microsoft Store page for the unannounced Shrek 2 Remastered developed by Aspyr has gone live. The game is likely meant to be officially announced during the ID@Xbox Showcase on October 20, as Shrek briefly appears in the teaser trailer. News of a Shrek 2 remaster first surfaced during a large-scale Steam Achievements leak in September. Here is an overview of the game, via Microsoft Store:AboutJourney through the fairytale kingdom of Far Far Away from Shrek’s swamp to Fiona’s castle and everywhere in between, in a classic action adventure experience inspired by the DreamWorks Animation movie. Play solo or with up to three friends in cooperative play, take control of your favorite Shrek heroes as you smash, throw and kick your way against iconic characters from the franchise.

RimWorld meets Moebius-esque roguelite colony sim Trailblazers: Into The March welcomes you aboard its hulking landships with a chonky-sounding demo
With the devs behind RimWorld gearing up for their next game with a recent engine switch, it'd be entirely fair if you were hankering for something new (if still familiar enough) yourself. Trailblazers: Into The March is one such game, having introduced itself to us earlier this year, a mishmash of the aforementioned colony sim, Nausicaa, Moebius, Andrei Tarkovski, Jeff Vandermeer, and FTL: Faster Than Light by Edwin's measure. And now you don't just have to look at its trailers, because there's a demo for you to have a go at. "In today’s demo, we have packed in so much for you to explore. From overcoming dangerous excursions to battling threatening foes," explain developer Strangers of the demo. "Take on contracts from the fixer and build out your perfect Trailblazing crew! " If you've not actually clocked roguelite colony-sim Trailblazer before today, you are said titular Trailblazer, a captain of a landship which are essentially big, honking, vaguely animal-shaped, Shadow of the Colossus sized crafts you pilot across the ground, taking on similar such opposing vessels.

The Apothecary Diaries: Xiaolan’s Story Focuses on Her Strengths
In the mainline The Apothecary Diaries series, the focus is on Maomao and Jinshi. There are a lot of important characters around them. They’re doing things too. But we don’t always see their sides of the stories or influence unless it’s directly tied to what the leads are going through. The Apothecary Diaries: Xiaolan’s Story spin-off manga prioritizes tales tied to the maidservant who showed up around the same time Maomao came to the Rear Palace. While she’s not as brilliant as her friend in some ways, this supplemental series highlights how influential she’s been on major events too. Recommended Videos Editor’s Note: There will be mild spoilers for some situations in volume 1 of The Apothecary Diaries: Xiaolan’s Story manga below. The events of The Apothecary Diaries: Xiaolan’s Story manga essentially run simultaneously alongside that of the main story, with on exception. Things start a few months before with her origin story. We know from Maomao’s kidnapping and the situation of other young women working in the Rear Palace that there are contracts formed where people receive pay and earned wages could be sent back from the girls working there.
