Sports Hall of Fame celebrates new inductees - Huntsville Doppler

The Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame held their thirty-sixth annual Induction Ceremony at Algonquin Theatre on September 26, 2026. Chosen from nearly 100 nominees, the inductees and special awards recipients shared their common love of sport and its distinct significance to the history and ongoing legacy of the Town of Huntsville.   Mayor Nancy Alcock summed up the event succinctly in her opening remarks to the audience and honourees, “Your achievements reflect countless hours of hard work, commitment and passion. You have set an example of excellence and leadership and community spirit, probably the most important thing, that deserves to be celebrated and remembered.”Divided into two segments, with the first dedicated to singular awards to individuals who epitomize the Sports ethos in Huntsville and the second to athletic achievement, the annual ceremony was presented to a full audience of family, friends, invited guests, and an enthusiastic public.
