AI Short Dramas: Not a "Predatory Hunt" – The Daily Entertainment Reality of 800 Million Users - 36Kr

On October 9, a college freshman posted on Xiaohongshu: "AI manhua dramas have ruined my dad. " She wrote that her father's dark circles from watching manhua dramas are even more prominent than when he took care of her during her senior year of high school; after working out after work, he skips showering first to watch until past 10 p.m., and even after being urged to take a shower, he continues watching until the wee hours of the morning, then gets up at around 5 a.m. to keep watching; he watches while using the toilet at home, and even broke his midday nap habit at work just to watch manhua dramas. When he ran out of mobile data, he secretly used her phone to add data to his own line. Later, this story was reconstructed and reposted by media outlets. On October 12, which is today, the topic "AI short dramas are hunting down middle-aged men" hit the Weibo hot search list. But the so-called "hunting" targeting middle-aged men is actually more like an entry point that fits public sentiment. Because almost at the same time, the topic "AI manhua dramas are everywhere" also made it to the hot search list.

Duane "Keffe D" Davis sentenced to 40 years for rapper Tupac Shakur's murder - BBC

Ex-gang boss sentenced to 40 years for orchestrating Tupac Shakur's murder2 days agoSareen HabeshianLos AngelesFormer gang boss Duane "Keffe D" Davis has been sentenced to at least 40 years in prison for orchestrating the murder of Tupac Shakur. A jury found Davis, 63, guilty in September of one count of murder with a deadly weapon for the rap superstar's death in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas on 7 September 1996. He has said he will appeal the verdict. Prosecutors argued that although Davis did not fire the gun himself, he was the ringleader of the group that committed the murder. He admitted in his memoir that he had provided the gun used in the crime. Davis' conviction was the first in a cold case that has intrigued hip-hop fans for nearly 30 years. Prosecutor Marc DiGiacomo argued during Tuesday's sentencing hearing that Davis spent years "publicly grandstanding" and bragging about his role on Shakur's death, which he said, "had wide-ranging effects upon the world". Shakur's sister, Sekyiwa Shakur, told the court: "The loss of Tupac, for a long time, crippled my family.
