25 Years Later, 'The Mummy 4' Set Photos Reveal Reunion Between Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz - MovieWeb

Adele Ankers-Range is a senior writer at MovieWeb with additional bylines at IGN, Sideshow Collectibles, Screen Rant, and more. As an avid cinephile and physical media collector, she spends more time alphabetizing her collection than she would care to admit. The rest of her time is spent watching movies and TV shows, while also writing about them. She set about sharing her words with the world shortly after completing her bachelor's degree in Journalism, Film & Media Studies. She is proud to be part of the MovieWeb family, covering everything from release dates and casting announcements to trailers and fan theories. When Universal Pictures unleashed The Mummy in 1999, it became an instant blockbuster fueled by high-stakes action and crackling romantic chemistry. Its wildly successful 2001 sequel, The Mummy Returns, cemented the action-adventure saga as an absolute juggernaut. However, the franchise stumbled with 2008's Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, which lost its way amid high-profile casting changes.

After 25 Years, The Mummy 4 Finally Reunites Brendan Fraser & Rachel Weisz in New Look - Comic Book Resources

Jamie Lovett is a graduate of MTSU's Journalism program who followed his lifelong passion for comics and related media into a career writing about pop culture. He has over a decade of experience writing about television, movies, comics, video games, and more, and recently co-founded the comics-focused newsletter/site Weird City Media. A full year ahead of release, The Mummy 4 is already giving fans the reunion they've been waiting for. New photos from the Mummy 4 set show Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz back together after 25 years. Fraser returns as treasure-hunting adventurer Rick O'Connell, and Weisz as Egyptologist Evelyn Carnahan. Though now she's Evelyn Carnahan O'Connell, as the two married in the original Mummy trilogy. Fraser last played Rick in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor in 2008, but Weisz sat that sequel out, replaced by Maria Bello. That makes these photos the first time the original Rick and Evelyn have been together since The Mummy Returns in 2001.
