Oppo’s Reno17 series could launch in China as soon as November with a 200MP rear camera, according to GSMArena, but the other leaks published the same day disagree on almost everything except the timing. One says the lineup has no Pro model and uses three 50MP cameras, another describes two models with a 200MP sensor, and a third puts a different chip inside, so the only detail that looks settled is that a new Reno is coming roughly six months after the Reno16. For buyers who picked up a Reno16 this summer, that schedule matters more than any single spec. The 200MP figure is also less new than it sounds. Oppo already used a 200MP f/1.8 main camera on the Reno16 Pro, which launched in China in May alongside three 50MP cameras, a 7,000mAh battery and a Dimensity 9500s chip, according to Notebookcheck. The open question is therefore not whether Oppo can ship a 200MP Reno, but whether that sensor moves down to the standard Reno17 or stays on a Pro that one leak says may not exist. What Do the Reno17 Leaks Actually Claim?

OnePlus 16R Leaks Compared: Specs, Price and Launch - Memeburn
The OnePlus 16 went official in China on October 12 with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, a 200MP main camera and a 9,000mAh battery, but it is exclusive to China for now, according to GSMArena’s launch report, and tipster Yogesh Brar said in September that the OnePlus 16R would likely be the brand’s top phone in India. With OnePlus out of Europe and North America since July, that makes the 16R the phone most of the brand’s remaining international buyers will actually be offered. The problem for anyone waiting on it is that the two most-cited OnePlus 16R leaks of the past week do not describe the same phone. Brar’s latest leak, which GSMArena summarised on October 14, points to a modest refresh of the OnePlus 15R, while an earlier claim from Debayan Roy describes something much closer to the China-only OnePlus Ace 7, at a much higher price. The only specification both versions share is the chipset, and it is last year’s flagship chip, which leaves the battery and the price as the details that will decide whether the 16R is worth waiting for.

Huawei’s next budget phone, the Enjoy 100 Pro, just leaked with a battery above 8,000mAh, a Kirin 8-series chip and four new colors, according to well-known Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station. The Enjoy line is how Huawei sells phones to millions of price-conscious buyers in China, and this leak shows that huge batteries have become a budget feature, while screens may be where costs get cut. Here’s what the leak says, what we think it means, and what to expect before launch.

TIME Names Fujifilm’s $410 Retro Video Camera One of 2026’s Best Inventions - Y.M.Cinema
Fujifilm’s instax mini Evo Cinema ($378.99 on Amazon), a $410 hybrid instant camera capable of recording short video clips and producing physical prints, has been selected as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026. The camera was recognized in the Consumer Electronics category, joining 300 innovations selected by the publication this year. Interestingly, the award goes to a camera with modest video specifications but a distinctive approach to combining digital recording with the nostalgic experience of instant photography. The camera is currently available on Amazon for $378.99, an 8% discount from its $409.95 list price. Introduced in January 2026, the instax mini Evo Cinema combines three functions in one device: a digital still camera, a short-form video camera, and an instax mini printer. Its design draws inspiration from traditional 8mm movie cameras, featuring a vertical body, physical controls, and a dedicated recording mechanism. The camera’s most distinctive feature is its Gen Dial, which allows users to select visual styles inspired by ten different decades, ranging from the 1930s to the 2020s.

Pneuhaus’ Walk-In Camera Offers 221 Views Without Digital Screens - Yanko Design
Inside Compound Camera No.3, the outside world becomes a patchwork of light, spread across walls soft enough to press with your hands. Rhode Island studio Pneuhaus designed the inflatable pavilion as a camera you enter, with projected views you can bring into focus by gently pushing its interior surface. After so much looking through screens, I like the idea of giving an image a little nudge rather than another swipe. The installation premiered at MODE Fest in Minneapolis from September 18 to 20, 2026. It covers more than 700 square feet and brings together 221 camera obscura cells, which project views of the surrounding environment onto its translucent inner surface. The subject matter is whatever happens to be outside, giving familiar scenery an unusually elaborate viewing room.
