Brewers stun Dodgers with back-to-back homers, move within one win of World Series berth - TSN

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Milwaukee Brewers hit the second-fewest home runs in baseball during the regular season, even as they topped the majors with 103 wins. Maybe they were saving their biggest swings for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Jake Bauers and Garrett Mitchell launched back-to-back homers off Blake Snell in the seventh inning, and the Brewers beat the Dodgers 6-2 on Wednesday to build a 3-0 cushion in the National League Championship Series. Jackson Chourio also went deep on the first pitch of the game to help the Brewers close within one win of their first NL pennant. Milwaukee was in the American League when the franchise reached its only World Series, a seven-game loss to the St. Louis Cardinals in 1982. “Job’s not finished yet,” Mitchell said. Game 4 is Thursday at Dodger Stadium, where the Brewers can become the first major league club to complete a postseason sweep after getting swept by that same opponent in the previous postseason. Los Angeles took all four games against Milwaukee in the NLCS last year. The Dodgers had just gone ahead 2-1 in the sixth inning before getting stunned by the Brewers in their three-run seventh.

Michael Douglas Addresses Decades-Old Sex Addiction Rehab Rumor In Tense Interview - HuffPost

Michael Douglas hit back at a decades-old rumor that he went to rehab for an alleged sex addiction during a strained interview published Sunday by the U. K.’s Sunday Times. Douglas, 82, was discussing his new memoir, “One Helluva Ride,” with British journalist Decca Aitkenhead. She reminded him that he wrote about having to break things off with five women before becoming monogamous with actor Catherine Zeta-Jones, whom he married in 2000 shortly after the end of his first marriage, to Diandra Luker. “No, no, it’s not what it was,” the actor told Aitkenhead of how he became monogamous with his now-wife. “What Catherine said is, if we’re going to continue this, then I want it to be monogamous. And so I therefore, that evening, you know, made some calls to some people I was seeing, and that was that.”In her article, Aitkenhead writes that Douglas then gives her an expression that “suggests that he thinks he’s just corrected me.” Actors Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas got married on Nov. 18, 2000, the same year he finalized his divorce from his first wife, Diandra Luker.
