Posted: Oct 16, 2026 5:00pm UTCNot since 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts launched on the Wii U has a mainline COD game appeared on a Nintendo console. 2026’s Modern Warfare 4 is breaking that 14-year dry spell by releasing on Switch 2, and I got to play a couple of missions from the campaign to see how it fares. I won’t lie, my expectations were low – Call of Duty is always on the cutting edge of graphics and performance, and Nintendo’s latest isn’t intentionally built for that. And yet, I came away pleasantly surprised by what Digital Legends, the Activision studio dedicated to this version of MW4, has achieved from a technical standpoint. For my full review of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, I played on PC, which provided a useful benchmark for what the most ideal version of the game looks like. Of course, when placed side-by-side with the Switch 2 version, you’ll immediately notice the difference — it looks stunning on PC and runs like a dream, as you’d expect. But, shifting over to Switch 2 didn’t offend my eyes quite like I feared it would.

The Apothecary Diaries: Xiaolan’s Story Focuses on Her Strengths
In the mainline The Apothecary Diaries series, the focus is on Maomao and Jinshi. There are a lot of important characters around them. They’re doing things too. But we don’t always see their sides of the stories or influence unless it’s directly tied to what the leads are going through. The Apothecary Diaries: Xiaolan’s Story spin-off manga prioritizes tales tied to the maidservant who showed up around the same time Maomao came to the Rear Palace. While she’s not as brilliant as her friend in some ways, this supplemental series highlights how influential she’s been on major events too. Recommended Videos Editor’s Note: There will be mild spoilers for some situations in volume 1 of The Apothecary Diaries: Xiaolan’s Story manga below. The events of The Apothecary Diaries: Xiaolan’s Story manga essentially run simultaneously alongside that of the main story, with on exception. Things start a few months before with her origin story. We know from Maomao’s kidnapping and the situation of other young women working in the Rear Palace that there are contracts formed where people receive pay and earned wages could be sent back from the girls working there.

Debra Wilson Also Confused On Why Games Keep Using Her Likeness
While I had always assumed it was the result of an airtight contract or a talent rep sent from heaven, it turns out Debra Wilson doesn’t have a firm explanation as to why so many of her in-game performances feature her real-world likeness. During a podcast appearance, the prolific Wolfenstein, Wolverine, Suicide Squad, Star Wars Jedi and Death Stranding voice actor said the decision usually comes down to the developers. “Honestly, I love games where they don’t look like me at all,” Wilson tells podcaster Joseph Shepherd. “I might as well just go and do theater… If it just looks like me, then how do you get a chance to really escape into a character?” While the episode of Hyperfixated was recorded before the release of Marvel’s Wolverine, the clip has recirculated, admittedly by some in bad faith. The MADtv star has been contributing vocal performances in games for decades, but it’s in recent history that a number of those digital roles share her uncanny appearance.
